Sour Diesel IBLs and mother clone

Impressed, I am, by how close a representation of the original Sour Diesel mom these IBLs are. Rez did it! He captured the legendary Sour Diesel in seed form! I no longer have any doubt about it.

There was very little variation among the ladies. I grew out 20 seeds, only three were male. Call me lucky, I suppose.

Even the smell of the Sour Diesel was properly preserved, with only the slightest variation in aromas. Any Sour Diesel fan would recognize the smells from these ladies as Sour Diesel. At 76 days of flower, it is good.

To make this even more interesting, I flowered out the original Sour Diesel mother clone alongside the from-seed IBL Sours... which provided a valuable side-by-side comparison any Sour lover can appreciate.

This is the first run of marijuana at our new garden. The new location has wonderful water quality, resulting in wonderfully pure Sour Diesel aromas. The last garden's water supply was not perfect for pot growing, which made flushing the herb very difficult. How can one flush cannabis with water that contains unhelpful amounts calcium and iron and nitrates? This new locale has water as clean as the finest bottled spring water. What a difference in the smoke! The quality of your water source is probably more important than most growers realize.

Anyhow, I'm sure you all would like to cut to the chase and see the ladies.

I'll start off with the mother of all Sours, the Queen of the Vile, Mistress of Mayhem... the Sour Diesel mother clone herself. I present her first so that you can compare the IBLs that follow.

This plant is my favorite of the group, the resins and large calyxes remind me of a Double Sour Diesel V2 I grew years ago. Thick, gluey resin glands of the finest quality. And large buds! This was in a one gallon pot!!! I have clones of her, and I can't wait to grow her in a large container!

how about the buzz duration? never had the clone only so can you chime in on the only legitimate complaint multiple peeps have had?
i go about 47 minutes before i want another binger-the JLP freebie sourkush keeps me toasty for a good 1.5 to 2 hours

K++ on some well grown Sour Diesel IBL's. I've enjoyed a few of those myself with as half jar left from my last runs. The Sour Diesel from Rez is astounding smoke.

Burt, I concur that the buzz isn't the longest lasting, but it is a wonderful trippy high that I thoroughly enjoy. The flavor of the product keeps me coming back for more, so a shorter duration isn't necessarily a bad thing. I also find that crosses with the Sour Diesel create some wickedly good medicine with longer duration of effect.

The flavor of the product keeps me coming back for more, so a shorter duration isn't necessarily a bad thing. I also find that crosses with the Sour Diesel create some wickedly good medicine with longer duration of effect.

it took me a week of driving to work tripping on the diesel to get the hang of it again-not for beginners-those 47 minutes are fantastic and zero burnout afterwards-i have 3 SD X OPT leaning females going right now-can't wait to sample the results-they all resemble the SD but with even bigger, kushier leaves-nothing like the dad whatsoever-looking for blue flavor and most importantly-euphoria-we'll see what exactly the male gives in about 10 weeks
I have another blueberry male that is straight kushy-if the OPT seeds don't deliver then i will try this cross this fall to hopefully get the terpenoid profile my funky depression craves

Well, as for the high duration, I learned from Rez that you really have to let them go to 11 weeks for the full effect. His rule is 77 days, and after years of trying to avoid going that long with them, I finally must agree with him... 11 weeks really brings the high out. Sour Isn't the stoniest weed in the world, but between the good high and great taste, Sour is a legend still.

nice CC! i am an avowed lover of the E.C.S.D....prob my overall favorite smoke....a bro of mine here in s.d. (and icmag member) had both the cut and a cut of one of rez's d's ...bro had to discard one for space constraints he actually kept the rez version because he felt it yielded better and smoked as well...i sampled many nugs of his and enjoyed the hell out of it!

any chance you can give me a quick preview of the uncured smoke? i'm anxious to hear if the offspring carried the desired electricfying/positive effects from the SG
i've grown many diesel hybrids-none as good as the IBL or cut-most carried the smell/taste terps and did allow good exptression of the other sex in buzz from-this is what has me hopeful for my little cross

I've been trying to grow out an IBL for years Now. With no luck. I don't if it's just my luck with the IBL. I was gifted 2 seeds a while back which turned out 2 be both males. I never should of tossed him. Should of just bred it. It was Rez SD IBL 06'. Then I FInAlly got a few more beans. But they never made it above soil. Frigging heartbreaking. It's the only strain I really really want to try. N now back to square 1. No IBL lol. I'm def gonna make beans if I ever do get my hands on it again. I learned my lesson.
