Sour Diesel IBL, Sadhu, BOG Medley

very short veg time semi-SOG style ... started under a 250w hps, upgraded to a 400w at about 2 weeks... 10 plants total (7 sour diesels, 2 sadhus, 1 BOG)

2 different phenos of the Sour Diesel from clones... one i call "Diesel" which was topped once right before the switch to 12/12 ... the other "Lemon" although this time around the lemon one smells more like grapefruit... the lemons are about a week behind the rest of the plants

the Sadhus and BOG are from seed... im 90% sure the BOG is Blue Moon Rock

plants range from 11 inches (BOG) to 2 feet (SD IBLs)

honestly i almost culled the BMR... she was a runt/mutant and was stuck and wasnt growing for a while... but i stuck in there and she got past it... she is the smallest plant in the garden but im planning on reveggin her after harvest so i can do another run from clones with a better veg time and bigger pots... i still have 5 BOG medley seeds left too, so hopefully i can get a keeper from them... germ rates were horrible, out of 10 germed only 2 lived and one was a male, so hopefully i have better luck next time around

smells coming from the garden are great... ill break it down strain by strain

Sour Diesel "diesel pheno" - smelliest strain in the garden right now... strong fuel smell with a little bit of sweet floral smell

Sour Diesel "lemon pheno" - smells like fresh grapefruit... no hint of the lemon pledge smell i got last time i grew her... maybe the lemon will come later in flower

Sadhu - 2nd strongest smell... hard to describe... its very earthy if that makes any sense... with a hint of spice... its strong, gives the nose that tingle feeling from smelling something too strong

BMR - by far my favorite smelling plant i have right now... sweet berry candy smell... cant get enough of the smell of this one... hopefully the smoke is as good as the smell... it really doesnt smell much like bud, just smells like a candy store

thanks for checking the girls... ill be updating with pics frequently til the smoke report... which cant come soon enough because i am officially 100% without weed for the first time in over a year . and i refuse to buy any... so ill have a nice fresh virgin perspective when these girls hit the bowl... that is if my willpower lasts

lol... yeah willpower is really tough when it comes to smoking... but im going to give it my best shot... i at least want to wait 3 weeks til the Sadhus are done before i give in... ideally id like to wait til they have had at least a 2 week cure, but i dont think i can wait that long...lol

yeah i was lucky enough to get some bog seeds last year... picked up a BOG Medley (BMR, Bogglegum, Bogbubble)... which is great because the Medleys have 15 seeds... i had really poor germ rates tho (out of 10 only 2 made it and one was a male )... but i still have 5 seeds left, so hopefully ill have better luck with those... im hoping this BMR i have going now turns out to be a keeper... ill have to wait to see how she smokes, but if she smokes anything like she smells...im in for a treat

those SDs sure do stink... good luck with yours... u wont be dissapointed... sour diesel is my favorite tasting strain so far... and last time i grew them i had to chop 2 weeks early, so this time around things might even be better... have any pics of your SD?

both were some very tasty smoke for sure though

hey hilljack... nope no menthol/minty smell to the BMR at all... just sweet berry candy smell... and in the past couple of days she put on alot of trichs... nice and frosty now

honestly... no idea on the yield for alot of reasons:

-The sour diesels wont be done for over a month... so they will pack on alot of weight in that time
- This is my first time growing with the 400w... i used to use a 250w, so im not really sure what to expect from the increased lighting
- My first SOG style grow with more small plants with short veg time in small containers

all in all im growing 10 plants... so if i get only 10 grams per plant... that would be 3.5 ounces total... which would be fine for me since i only grow for my own personal smoke... i expect more then 10 grams per plant tho(except maybe the BMR my smallest plant)... but we will see... this grow i wanted variety more then anything, so yield wasnt really important to me this time around... i will have a better idea of yield in about 3 weeks when the Sadhus and BMR get harvested

6 weeks of flowering

my batteries for my camera died as i was taking pics today... so i only have a pic of one of the Sadhu for now... hopefully ill be able to get batteries tonight and have some new pics of the other girls tomorrow

3 weeks left for these girls..... super sticky... and trichs everywhere...

so sugary it makes me want to just lick the bud...lol

one more feeding for the Sadhu... then plain water til harvest... ill start checking trichs in a little over a week

anyone else find these last weeks the most difficult? really such a test of patience...

yeah last few weeks is hard, but whats even harder is waiting for them too dry and cure

so very true... one of the big benefits of bubble bags... the second i harvest, my frosty trim will go in the freezer... then the next day ill do a bubble run and have some hash to smoke by that night :smile: the hash keeps me busy until the buds are dry...lol

as far as the camera goes...im using the Canon powershot 540... i just use the manual focus and get as close as i can to the plant while still in focus with the camera on a tripod... the tripod is key, because any little movement will blur the image alot upclose... i actually wish i had purchased the next model up... my camera can focus in macro mode as close as 5cm... the next model up can get as close as 1cm... it takes alot of playing around with different settings to get it right but after awhile u learn how to get good and close

plus i take a bunch of pictures and just keep the ones that come out good

yeah these Sadhus have me convinced (i got them as a freebie last year)... im going to stock up on some mandala strains soon... i want to give Hashberry and Satori a go

thanks bru... i really think from now on im going to grow multiple strains like this... its just so much more appealing to have multiple flavors in the end... variety is the spice of life!
