Sour Diesel flowers!

A couple of shots from my ongoing Sour Diesel grow. This is the fourth run with Rezdog's V3:s, and exellent strain with a fantastic calyx to leaf ratio. Of my three different phenos (all great) you only see one in these pics, a trippy Sativa leaning queen that most of my friends thik is over the top.

I kind of like her.

The plants are topped once or twice, exceptionally grown in a soil/perlite/coco mix (I generally do NFT) and fed with a mix of organic and salt based nutrients. Hesi PK 13/14 in the first flowering weeks, Atami's Ata XL as carbohydrate additive through the flower period, and they'll get General Hydroponics Bio Boost flower enhancher in the last weeks of flowering.
You're looking at day 51 in flower, and my main worry is a violent spider mite attack. I will close down shop and exterminate all of them before next grow, because this run they've been terrible to the plants.
I will take them to 80 days + this time, so they've got another month to put on weight. I hope you like'em boys and girls.

good luck with the mites, dress the top of the soil wil a half inch of earthworm castings, slows the mites down a lot by producing chemicals in the leafs at levels toxic to the mites. Good luck, looks good, damn them mites to hell!!

"Neem Oil is an all natural product derived from the Neem tree (Azidirachta indica) native to India and South East Asia. It is a safe, non- toxic, biodegradeable, fast acting insect bio-inhibitor. Once the oil is absorbed by the pests it interferes with reproduction and feeding for a steady decline in pest population. Neem is not harmful to beneficial insects, humans or pets. Neem extracts have shown incredible success in combating not only fungal problems on leaves but also many forms of root rot. Neem is effective in both contact and systemic roles."

"It is currently believed safe to apply to most crops up until 24 hours before harvest. Neem oil does decompose quickly in the presence of ultraviolet light.
Neem trees are native to tropical Asia, thrive in semi-arid regions, and are easy to cultivate in the climates of many third world countries."

Looks really great Rosy... taste report. I have 4 SD IBL's now and am hoping for a diesel one. I have read reports of lemon taste, no diesel.

Hot Shot no pest strip will take care of the mites Rosy, and not hurt the flowers. Looking good there.

Thanks for the support my friends. Yes, spider mites are real party poopers. I've yet to make a Sour Diesel grow without them, and concidering the fact that these critters are chewing up my leaves each grow I've yet to see the FULL yield potential of this strain.

Next time.

SuperNuck, I'll have some end flower pics for you in a month or so. Here's a pic of another V3 pheno. Notice how the colas are covered with drooping flower cluster leaves. This pheno is slightly more couchlock and body stone than the others:

Thanks for the input sawadee, I agree. Neem oil, Genius oil, BuzzOff, Chrysantemum oil, leaf coat, I have a full collection of organic, biodegradable pesticides in my nute cabinet that I use regularly. It usually keeps them under control. This run though, something boosted the mite population and made them particularly voracious. I don't know what, perhaps my low air humidity, in the 30% range.
Thanks for the tip on the wormcasting bubbaKu. There's wormcasting in the soil mix, I might try spreading an extra top layer of it though.
Hot Shot pest strips can't be found in Western Europe Haps. I'll put it on my wish list to Santa and we'll see. Maybee some clever growshop pimp around here will import it.

Yes subrob, this strain has it all. Yield and potency. They'll put on less weight in the remaining weeks though, maybe 30%, not more.

Taste report on the V3 Diesels Kmarpa, well, more skunky lemony than dieselish, as you said, in all phenos. There's a chemical undertaste that I suspect come from the Diesel/Chemdawg heritage. I'll know the day I taste some pure Chemdawg.

Nothing but Sour Diesels in the flowerroom ezra, but there's a mix of stuff in the motherroom. Sour Diesel (Reservoir seeds), Original Misty (Positronics), Blockhead (Spice of Life), Super Silver Haze (Mr Nice), Sensi Star (Paradise seeds) and Kali Mist (Serious seeds). Have a looky:

NYCD (Soma seeds), NL#5 (unknown French elite clone), Black Domina (Sensi Seeds) and AK-47 (Serious seeds) are hiding in our co-op grow veg chamber.
