Overall Rating: 9
Potency: 9
Smell (does it carry): 5
Taste: 9
Ease: 5
Yeild: 8
I started 5 seeds and all germinated within a day. Culled one random plant due to space limitations. Veg'd for about a month in the veg chamber using PBP veg formula and some calmag+ at 500-750ppm (.5 conversion). No major issues not many noticeable preflowers at this point so I put them into flowering at just over a foot high..
Ended up with two females. Flowering continued at 700-900ppm PBP flower formula for a few weeks and then switched to soil formula for less N.. You can see from the pictures one pheno started out alot faster (ill call it the fast plant even though they finished about the same) while the other stretched and stretched, didnt pack on many pistils until the 5th week of flower.. Tapered off the nutes weeks 8,9 and straight water week 10..
Both plants had a light sour fruity / deisel fuel smell starting about week 5 and it grew slightly until the end of the 10th week when they were chopped, never massively smelly but could be due to poor growing conditions (a bit hot, 85F+), rated 5 for smell due to this.. I cant really describe the smell better than the description in the title, its sour fruit (i thought mostly tangerine type smell) with deisel fuel, the fuel part is like the vapor from a fuel at a gas station, not sure that it smells exactly like fuel or deisel fuel, but its got that vapor appeal, like menthol, ie vics vapor rub..
Rated 5 for ease of growing just because I could never get the plant dialed in, im not the most experienced but can diagnose most issues.. Never got the feeeding quite right I think, plus the env issues i mentioned, a bit hot.. All in all still had a great yeild, the plant just seems slightly picky like most sativas.
Both plants were harvested near the end of the 10th week, with about 50/50% clear/cloudy trichs. Probably could have went longer..
The faster plant yeilded 3oz and the other 3.5oz.. Not bad for 2 seedlings under 400W.. You can see from the pictures the bud is very trich laden, but i find it different from say the cindy i recently grew, its trich laden too but not as sticky.. This stuff is stickier than usual and it dries differently then im used to, rock hard rough outer texture..
Dried bud shots are of bud curing about 3 weeks now.. The smell is basically the same as when it was growing but there is a hint of spice mixed in there as it cures out it seems.. Ive dried and cured it quite slowly and its still a bit moist, but very smooth and potent so im ready to give the final smoke report.
Im not going to differentiate the two phenos other than to say what im calling the slower plant seemed to pack on more trichs and hits a bit harder, that is, rushier sativa head hit to start with and very discombobulating the first few sessions (maybe this was due to me being in xxx mood, whatever).. Otherwise the taste and high are quite similar..
The taste is basically as described above, same as the smell.. Mostly its sour and coats your mouth with this sour fruit type taste for quite a while.. Its pretty easy going down, nice and smooth, look out, pretty expansive.. Taste level is certainly a 9, im willing to bet i'll edit that to 10 after i grow the clones..
The high has been hard to get a handle on.. Im pretty sure the problem was lack of tolerance, coupled with the amazing taste and you want to smoke the stuff all day, not adviseable.. Anyhow, there is quite a rush at first when you smoke this weed, sativa energetic rush to the head, this balances out to a nice euphoric head high.. Very potent for sure, I give it a 9.. Just a few hits keeps me high for many hours..
