Sour Bubble BX3

IMHO Lifesaver and SourBubble are BOG's best strains...I remember there was debate on this forum as to which is better....

Bog himself claims that SB is his most potent strain....so if thats what makes something "better" to you than yes, sour bubble is better.

But if you love that unmistakable candy flavor and great but less intense high of the lifesaver than its better.

I personally think SB is MILES above LS...but thats me...Im a bubba lover and SB is almost indistinguishable from bubba so its only natural...

Either way those are his best strains so you cant go wrong...its just a matter of what YOU like.

I was lucky enough to get bx2 beans. popped 2...got 2 fems. Clones vegging/flowering and 8 more beans to pop at some point for breed/seed runs.

Have harvested from 49-54 days and this smoke whups my arse. As I was reading the description I kept agreeing with you and thought you hit the nail on the head JBP!

Thanks for the complements I hope to have some good seeds from a petrol outcross i did and back crossed 3 SBxP males to my SB clone. I never heard that the Sour Bubble was as bubble gum that got out crossed to a kush? It was always said to be a ultra potent sour smelling pheno of his bogglegum line. It is supposed to be a pure bubblegum of insane potency according to everything that i remember reading from BOG online.
I do say that it is very kush like in apperance but mine in flower smells like bubblegum.

I used to select a special Lifesaver clone few years ago ....it was great , easy to grow and strong
since I grew the SB BX3 once (one seed one female) , and the potency was oustanding , the main drawback is the yield but quality stash was here ...

No matter how many times I ate, drank, brushed, still had the taste in my

I would almost be willing to give up my entire collection of TGA including AstroBoy, Dannyboy, Spuntnik and Vortex seeds for a pack of those. I'm sure a cut will come my way eventually though I hate the waiting game.

One of BOG's base strains was White Label Bubblegum. I'm guessing the Sour Bubble was (ECSDxWL Bubblegum)xTom Hill's Deep Chunk. That's my story and I'm sticking to it

Besides...the BX3 was done arbitrarily, with no real goal in mind. He said he did it, just because he had the plants to do it. When pressed for the goal for the strain...there was no reply. Still....a nice plant that is very potent. Too much variation in his work that I've experienced. Some ppl got lucky enough to find some killer phenos though.

yeah but it wasnt commerically released. I highly doubt theres ecsd or deep chunk in sour bubbles pedigree.

I watched BOG from his beginnings. I am familiar with many of the strains he worked with. Not once, did I hear him mention BubbaKush. Although Deep Chunk and ECSD were mentioned numerous times. And of course his "prize" bubblegum, which later was found out to be White Labels. BOG was very secretive in the beginning with his strains...pretty much throught his career, we had to drag out of him what genetics he was working with.

I've read in a few places and heard from BOG that SourBubble is a pure White Label Bubblegum that he worked a lot of his strains with.. He was backcrossing the strain and found the "super-pheno!!" - supper potent, rock hard sticky, sour smelly buds, huge waxy indica leaves, very bushy plant, easy to grow, amazzzzing buds!!

I always thought Sour Bubble was a [WL-BG x WL-BG] X [WL-BG x WL-BG] cross when he found that amazing sour pheno.... shit i wish i didnt fry my only SourBubbleBX3 motherplant, sooo stupid and careless of me now I've lost these amazing genetics forever!! And even worse, the outdoor season is beginning and I have nothing to work with..

Sour Bubble is as Marcellas says, it is a select pheno from bubblegum inbreeding. BOG found the so called "super" bubble female and spent a good while looking for a "super" male to make the seeds. After he found it he make several backcrosses to "super" clone momma.

Pretty good smoke too.

I've done Lifesaver though which was really nice.

A strain worthy of resurrection for sure. Steele has done the cannabis community a favor to bring it out again, since BOG is not up to it. Cant remmember anyone who has not enjoyed that smoke, even the Haze heads come down and love it.
