Sour 60 Indoor Seed Run & Outdoor Grow

Hello ICmag, I have finally acquired some autoflowering beans after seeking them for 3 long years. I plan on just open pollinating them the best I can and having maybe in the ballpark of 500+ f2 beans. This will be Mdanzig's Sour 60. I hope you all enjoy, comments welcome.

I sowed 4 this morning, I figure that will be good, and I will still have plenty of parent seed left over I can breed with in the future.

Yes, AFxAF make all AFs from all reports I've read. And you weren't kidding, we are indeed doing very similar grows right now! Good luck.

Ok good to hear. Here is an update, just fixed up my grow box, very low cost but effective. 170 watts cfl. That is my current girl in there, she is a sativa dominant bagseed.

For some reason, I have had a hell of a time germing this strain. They hated the jiffy pellets so I germed them in a wet paper towel between plates. 3 popped and I sowed in soil. Finally a little hope, hopefully my first little girl

UPDATE: 4/5/10- 2 healthy seedlings already. Sowed another 2 healthy germed seeds with 1cm taproots in soil today. Hopefully 4 plants in the end, with a viable mother and father. I have a sativa bagseed mother about 2 days from the chop on 12/12 in same grow box. Once I deal with her on Thursday, I will put these babies on a 20/4 cycle till their chop. I will also make the box a little smaller with the same wattage. Comments encouraged.

EDIT: Paper towel germination method the best for this strain in my findings, bar none.

Your gonna have alot of seeds. I seeded 2 small branches on my Auto Ak 47 and i got over 50 seeds. IM gonna say you will have close to your mark of 500. I look forward to this grow.

Yeah I want to make as many as I can, I am an amateur breeder for personal purposes. I will be growing out a huge amount in the next few years so I'd like to have a huge amount, plus, I can give them out to my friends to overgrow the world.

I am interested to see how you do as I am trying my first ever outdoor grow up here, I kind of think that an AF strain is the only way I will ever finish a crop in the rain. Thanks for taking interest! I am sooooo excited to grow some beans outdoors. Indoors has not really been my thing... Bigger fan of keeping it more natural. Hopefully I can legally do this in my vegetable garden in my backyard one day. Anyways, this thread should really speed up once they all show sex!

This is my first harvest. She is a sativa bagseed from california. Could anybody with experience tell me what kinda dry weight this looks like? I'm just curious. My guess is around 10 to 15 grams. I did 12/12 from seed starting on January 22, CFL. This was a semi seed run FYI. I was going to dry for 4 days, then cure as long as I can when I have enough seeds that are dry.

Does anyone know if an increased amount of light, such as giving them 24 hours instead of say 20/4 or 18/6 decrease the amount of time till harvest or will it just be bigger? Thanks.

24 hours is a waste of light, if you have a timer, knock em down to 20/4. Easy way to decrease the time of harvest is to give them a full shot of 0/24 the day you want to switch them over. They'll get hit with a "flower now or you'll die", and they'll start flowering fast. Well, supposedly anyways.

Well I'm just doing 18/6 for its life. I was just curious if more time in a photoperiod is the same as more days in flower.

UPDATE: 4/13/10- I have 4 healthy seedlings well on track now.
