Rock wool is less flammable....

Old tyre inner tubes can be found in the bins at tyre shops, really good quality rubber for isolating from vibrations as well as other types of sound.

Of the acoustic fans on the market, look at Vent Axia, they AFAIK invented the acoustic fan (fan in a silenced box) as well as the very useful meteor style fans. In the grow world the best one I have seen is called Air Box One, here in Spain the ever shitty Hortitec distributors sell cheap copies of any interesting products on the market. Look at the insulation in the best quality products and source them for yourself. If they do use foam, I would be certain that it was fireproof and a dense rubber, the triangulated foam you show is not the most isolated product around I think.

wow nice found
5 yo thread so it's great place for my 1st post on this forums after years of lurking

pal Id really recommend cork insulation.

it was recommended to me few years back and after trying all different kind of sound insulation cork is the best hands down. forget those funny egg shape foams or rockwool or whatever.

I am small hobby grower and I sleep next to my grow room so silent grow room is a must as she sleeps like a bird so no noise os acceptable.

it took me a while to get it right but now I nailed it and its basically silent room.

and cork is a must. it absorbs sound and is great thermal insulator too

I've found soundproof fibreglass roofing insulation extremely effective. Although I've only used it for more of a music purpose.. old thread but suppose it may still be relevant.. haha

Btw,I thought that only people need silence, but it turned out that I was wrong. Sound insulation from cork is a good solution, I agree. Actually, I like products made of cork, such as the well-known Portuguese cork floors, which looks both beautiful and cosy. Thank you for reminding me of this. As for soundproofing, we have recently installed such suspended acoustic ceilings in our office. These panels hid the pipes and wires that spoiled the interior design of our office and saved us from the noise from the upper floors. Finally, nothing will distract us from our work.
