Today marks the anniversary of the suicide bombing on London's mass transit system. I can not help but feel OUR countrys debacle in Iraq might have had something to do with it and just wanted to say I'm sorry. We yanks sometmes simply shake our heads at what our so called leaders consider good decisions.

I simply felt a note for the 52 people who lost there lives for the so called war on terrorism was in order and will have them in my prayers this evening.

Thanks wags- very thoughtful of you.

London was abit eery today, but life goes on doesnt it. At 12, the country took part in a 2minute silence in memory of the 52 who lost their lives that tragic day and to whose who still live with what happened that day, and i imagen always will.

A family memebr(sister) travels on the circle line to reach work each day and got the tube before the aldgate blast-not ashamed to say today I cried-its something I'll never forget and the world got just that bit darker after july 7th.

Thanks for the post Mrwags

The root cause of Islamist terrorism is Islamist ideology. Not a comforting thought for those who would rather blame ourselves and our government for the acts of extremists

You have a nice day too

Ick I half way agree. The idea of taking an 8 year old child and putting a semi-auto weapon in his hand and tell him to kill for religion is crazy. The idea of brainwashing these young persons in beliveing that to die in the fight will get you a place on the top tear after your gone is well sickening. I give credit to their dedication (willing to die for a cause) but also think if all that power could be used for good the end result would be mind boggling. I do not or will ever blame my self for their actions but as far as my goverment goes I know for a fact some blame should go their way. Karma runs in circles. The 52 people I was referring to were simply going about their daily lives and in return died for somebody elses cause and for that I simply felt they needed to be remembered. Ick your opinion as always is appreciated and I truely wish you well.

Be Safe,

stings all the more:
when for years you bend over backwards for immigrants,
welcoming them with open arms
making them a safe & secure home
celebrating the cultural diversity they bring to our island
creating new laws just for thier protection,

so they can have a family & thier children murder us

I half agree with your opening paragraph as well Mr Wags. I don't think anyone is disagreeing that Iraq is a factor. There are many people who opposed the Iraq War myself included but very few of them support, let alone carry out, terrorist attacks. The bombers weren't not 'forced' or 'driven' to commit these acts; they *chose* to do so -- and they could have chosen not to do so. These home grown guys were Muslim/British born with thick british accents.. The Islamic indiscrimiaate killing started in the middle east, and they've brought it to the west directly and indirectly, through the radical Muslim "teachings" that should have been squashed long ago, but which political correctness allowed as "free speech". If I remember correctly, in the video release of on of the bombers he talked about a 'War on Islam' and cited examples including Iraq, Kosovo and Chechnia.

All Iraq did (in his opinion) was add a new battle ground to a war that already existed.

take care
