My fav head band! Anyone else streaming 'the Eternal'?

I'm loving it! Wasn't a big fan of 'Rather Ripped', coming after 'Murray St' & 'Sonic Nurse', but I'm digging the new one a lot!

He once went to a sonic youth / social distortion concert at the west point military academy and sonic youth was sooo bad that the cadets lured them to the edge of the stage then took away their guitars and booed them off stage.

My all time fav band.
I was sold when I first heard "Sister" in -88 (I know it´s from -87!).
Daydreaming Nation is maybe their greatest album.
Well, I have most of Sonics albums I guess.

Two conserts. First one in the "Den Grå Hal" in Christania (-92).
Second one on Roskilde Festival in -93 I guess. They played just before mr. Hüsker Dü (Bob Mould)´s band Sugar gave me a music-orgasm!!

Paddi, I should have known!

Long-time fan, 1st saw them mid 80's co-billed in a small club w/ the Swans!
I must admit it took me yrs to 'get' them. It was like learning a language, what the gtrs are doing.
The 2nd time I saw them was the 'Daydream Nation' tour, but I didn't fully get it til I saw them play a benefit show right prior to 'Goo' coming out. Now that's my least fav disc of theirs, but my wife and I ate brownies, and it was cosmic!
The gtrs live are just wild!
Since then, we always eat brownies for them!

Flippy, 'Diamond Sea' was the shit, I imagine they'll revisit that one in time. They were doing Lollapalooza that yr, touring it, when Garcia died.
Lee grew up a big deadhead, and that was their signature 'dead' jam, and after he passed it got mind-blowing! Saw them tour that fall and that was the pinnacle of seeing them, playing that!
Last time I saw them was the 'Sonic Nurse' tour, and I gotta say, the best, most consistent show I've seen!
