Something for hash/resin production

From ace I am planning on running a few packs of OTH, a few packs of Killer A5, and that leaves me needing something from them for hashish.

Now pakistani chitral kush has been on my radar for seemingly ever now, but I wonder a bit If I should wait for it to be pushed farther since its been out so long.

Hashplant s1 Is available now, but that is feminized which means I would have a hard time breeding properly later on. I would run the hashplant s1's but just would prefer regulars.

What is something from Ace which is your go-to for cold water hash.

My main picks for hashish would be bubba hash, bubba x pck or bubba x kalichina.
If you want regulars just get a pack of panama or maybe snow moon should also be a great option.

I do not know why I have such a disposition to bubba crosses. I ran a clone of "pre-98" about 6 years ago on the west coast and it may have not been legit but I just couldnt appreciate that strain even after 4 runs of it.

Panama for hashish you are saying? Interesting, makes sense, was wanting to go something fast on the flower time. I will do more reading into bubba and see if I can break my mental roadblock on it.

To be honest, just about everything ace has is capable of producing a lots of extracts. I make hash out of whatever gives me the effects I'm looking for. Don't get me wrong, I love the taste of good hash from certain WLD in particular, but for me it's more about effects.

A lot of Ace's stuff produces decent frost. I'd agree with Solar, it doesn't necessarily have to be a hashplant type. The PCK hybrids, Violeta sticks out in my mind, might be good. The Kali crosses look frosty too, I agree Snow Moon could be a good one. Bubba Hash is the obvious one to me. I've tried different Bubba Kush crosses, it seems to come through as a hybrid better then straight up. Somehow it reverts back to it's Afghan hashplant roots, shows traits the Pre-98 doesn't have.

Out of all the strains that I've grown the most hash/resin I would say it would to be Panama, Malawi or Zamaldielica. The Bubba Hash that I grew was nice but just didn't compare to either one of those for frost. Zamaldielca got quite a bit of hash when I did my dry ice hash runs. Comparing it to a strain like Chemdog, I got nearly the same amount of hash from both. They each had a 5' x 5' tent, so the comparison was good. Only grew out one of each of the others so it's also harder to judge. Happy growing all.

ACE just made it harder to pick for you! They now offer Afghani landraces ie hash plant selections... I think Kholm looks pretty intriguing myself...

I acknowledge that you say you don't want feminized offerings, but I'm going to go ahead and echo the suggestions that you go with one of the hashplant hybrids. Whether it's the S1 or Bubba Hash or whatever, probably doesn't matter. I think you would end up being very happy with both the quantity and quality of the trichomes in the end result.

If you must go with a regular, non-feminized variety, I would look at Lebanese, personally. But that's just me.

And again, I have no sure reason why in my mind bubba has a yellow flag on it, I just had a shit cut probably or it was just a mediocre few runs.

Hush, the whole feminized thing I truely dont hate, alot of the stock I got recently was feminized. Just kinda limits what you can do in the future a bit with it, IMO. I dunno I like males, I know selfing is the new craze but I just like keeping things simple.

I had 2 of each pack in my cart and my animals went wild out in the field so I had to run out and see what was going on, 8 hours of work later and they are gone. So rough.

I spent the better part of 7 years making cold water hash, and there was a few batches which always stuck out to me. Almost like the strain was perfect for it. Had this real "dark" undertone to it, like a nice earthy brown taste. It was supposedly some "AK" the trim that is. Once we ran through that and realized the treasure we lost, I started looking for good hashplants of that nature. Tried some offerings from humboldt seed company I think, it wasnt bad by any means just not phenomenal.

Now I am trying to search out proper afghan, in any form to replicate this hash experience.

I know you can get resin glands from any cannabis plant, but some are different than others.

The quality of the melt we made from this, and the way the trichomes interacted with the process, I want that again.

For hash production i would recommend the following indica strains:

Bubba Hash, Bubba Kush x Kali China and Bubba Kush x PCK
not sure what Bubba version you grew but all our Bubba hybrids are very solid and excellent hash producers.

Also, ErdPurt x PCK, Kali China, HashPlant S1, Pakistan Chitral Kush, PCK x Kali China, Snow Moon, Violeta, are great indica choices for hash production.
And the new pure afghani indica strains from Afghan Selection which will be available again in early 2020.

The new CBD #1 for CBD hash production.

Sativa/indica hybrids: Malawi x PCK, Panama x PCK, Nepal Jam x Kali China, Zamaldelica x Kali China.

And even the following sativas are great hash producers: Panama, Malawi x Panama, Panama x Malawi, Panama x Bangi Haze and Zamaldelica fem.
