Some Veg questions for new grower

Hello New Grower here just finished my room 13x12 and got my plants in.

I have 6 1000w lights and Just moved In 48 babies ranging from 6" to 12"
Strains are LA confidential, Girl Scout Cookies, Romulan, and OG Grandaddy

I currently have them all under one 1000w MH HID bulb starting week 1 of veg, 18/6

Should I spread them out under 2 or 3 lights instead of 1?
I'm looking to flower in 3weeks, I wants all plants around 2 1/2+ feet tall as I am going to SCROG them 8 per light.

How many lights should I have on during veg?

Also when should I top them?

I am far too new to answer authoritatively, but I bet that more than two 1000s in
an area that size might be overkill.

I am interested in how this progresses, and wish you luck.

48 ladies that size is way too much for one 1000w, especially if you are planning on growing them to 30 inches, after topping them, in three weeks.

I also think you are planning on packing too many plants of that size under not enough light.

If you are going to top them I'd top them now.

Have you run all 6 lights at the same time for a minimum of 12 continuous hours to check temps?

Two 1000s would be significantly less light than you'd want.

He's working with 156 square ft. If he's flowering that all, and trying to keep the minimum of 50w a sq ft, he's going to want 7800 watts.

The big factor here is temperature. You should only use as much light as you can cool, and design your grow around that factor.

Seems like you could run that many plants as a SOG and flower them at 12" but the SOG would be more efficient if you were running one strain. As it stands now I think you have too many plants in too small of a room with not enough light.

if you intend to flower all those babies, i would do so quickly, 48 under those lights, well ... You will see

My suggestion is to just flower them all, you should set yourself up a mother/clone room and next time sitck with fewer plants, OR, if you want to continue flowering 48 plants at once, you better flip around 12-18 inches, room will crowd easily.

Flower them now, straight on to single cola SOG. Far more efficient use of lights. I do 36 plants under one 1000W that way.
