Some Growing Staples For Me

Sustainable Ag

New member
Compost tea:
Suppression of disease causing and pest organisms
Improves nutritional quality of plants
Improves soil structure, water infiltration, oxygen diffusion and water retention
Retains nitrogen and trace minerals through chelation preventing nutrient leeching
Makes nutrients bio-available to plants at the times and rates the plants require
Decomposes plant and organic matter and degrades toxic pesticides and other chemicals
Produces hormones that help plants grow and stay healthy

Vermicompost:
Vermicompost is used as a soil additive, conditioner, and fertilizer. Vermicompost functions to add humus and organic matter to the soil providing bioavailable nutrients to the plants, increasing soil tilth. Vermicompost helps with water infiltration and retention, while buffering excessive acid or alkaline soil conditions. Vermicompost helps store nutrients and keeps them safe from leeching and irrigation, functioning to balance hormones within plant physiology, and adding beneficial biology to your soil.

Mycorrhizae:
The yield enhancing attributes of mycorrhizal fungi have co-evolved over millennia and have been the focus of 30 years of intensive research. Now growers, landscapers and homeowners can apply the miraculous relationship of plant and mycorrhizal fungi and improve plant growth the natural way. Ask which type of mycorrhizae is right for what you are growing.

Kelp:
High in potassium, this water soluble sea plant enhances plant growth and disease resistance while simultaneously stimulating microbial growth in the soil and adding organic matter.

Fish Hydrolysate/ Micronized fish:
Fish products are an excellent source of nutrition for soils and plants as fish contain the full spectrum of nutrients found in the planets waters.

These are all very good titems to be adding to soil. I get mine from a local sustainable agricultural company here, and i think, like a lot of sustainable ag co's they ship. Easy to get a hold of these products.
