So i just purchased a 420 CFM 6" exhaust fan. This is a 4 ' x 8 flower box, that i will be using a carbon scrubber for. I'm trying to keep the noise down, so i would like to mount my exhaust fan in my box. I have a small veg tent as you can see in some of the pictures that I am exhausting out the window. Both the flower box and the veg tent will be sharing the same room so its important that the flower box is completely light proof and sealed. I'm considering putting a dual split duct in the exhaust hole to the window since both the flower box and the tent will be exhausting all the time.
Here are some pics , any suggestions appreciated greatly.
Now when it comes to my exhaust fan which side of my hood should i connect it too.. I have 2 options as far as i'm concerned.. I'm using a can 66 , and i matched the rating of my 6" 400 CFM exhaust.
I could Scrubber to exhaust fan to hood , through hood, through some ducting, out the box, and to my junction at the window opening.
OR
I could go Scrubber in box to ducting , through hood, exhaust fan on other side of hood, out of opening i cut in box > to out the window at the junction
The last question was related to the stand up Federer's AC that my friend is letting me use.. Its rated at 7 amps, and says it heats/cools. it has 2 openings and 2 plastic ducting strips that came with it.. I'm guessing one is for the intake . ( I could leave the plastic ducting that came with it off the intake). ANd the other is exhaust? so does that exhaust need to go out of my room? . I've been leaving my whole house fan on auto, so fresh air is going into the room, would i leave the stand up unit outside my box than cut a vent hole? or how should i utilitize this.
In the past i've always framed window ac units into my box, so i i have no experience in stand ups..
advice please.
