First pic is my keeper Malawi found in one pack. It matched my perceived notion of the "killer" pheno; being smaller and covered in resin, finished 1st along with a sister that mutated in flower slightly. I pegged the mutant as the "killer" until i smoked them. All the hype about plants mutating in flower had me looking at the wrong plant. The smoke from the killer is not mu cup of tea. Ace is not joking about this being a thc cbd bomb in your head. The thai smoke is more my thing the head is just shaved down a bit and more pleasant. Its too rare to kill and will be used in breeding. I have only flowered 1 double thai the other in the pic is a male that made some f2's with. the rest of my thai stock, 2 packs are germinating as I type.
Thanks for sharing your feedback with us cannaoasis,
I'm very impressed with your blueberry x double thai cross.
She is a joy to the eye! I like a lot how the indica and sativa traits combine in the hybrid ...
Did you use a special blueberry cut to make the cross ?
How are the aromas in the hybrid ?
How long is the flowering time ?
Dubi thank you for stopping in. The Blueberry used was found in a pack of 2011 dj short blueberry. The sister of this blueberry has been found to be better, and the rest of my double thai stock is now at about 60 days flowering. With two more males found, many more crosses are to come. So thats a total of only 3 males found in two packs of double thai. I believe this is mentioned in the description and it is accurate.
The aromas are all thai. Even the two stout pheno's were all thai in the nose. The keeper bluethai had the thai flavor as well, like ceder and very complex. The other females had a fair amount of sour as well as ceder that was less pleasing next to the keeper. The sour is their in the female blueberry, kind of a bitter sour. The sister blueberry has an earthy flavor replacing this sour profile. In the blueberry this sour kind of fades with a cure to grape flavor, but it remained bitter in the cross. I crossed the male thai to both f5 blueberry plants getting twice the amount of seeds from one blueberry, the sour-ish one. And so i popped those first to maybe gain insight, which i have. more better blue thai to come.
I also have been given a clone that is maybe True Blueberry or old school pre 2000 Blueberry. Could a picture be a thousand words? Dubi do you think you could tell them apart? I think the father of true blueberry is the modern stretch indica male and the father of the old school blueberry being the b130. I will get the pic.
