apparently his talk encouraged the spread of cannabis culture! these people are so fucked up. any normal cop would have just fined him on the spot and be done with it, this type of harassment is an outage and probably goes against the eu human rights laws, including freedom of speech.

hope he is home by now, anything else would be totally crazy under the circumstances.

Wow...sounds like they were just looking for an opportunity to snatch him up...and he gave them one. They probably arrested him for the "passing of a joint" rather than possession or smoking in public b/c the actual "passing of the joint" can be charged as a sale...at least these are the retarded US laws (if I'm not mistaken)...not sure about Prague laws though. Really sucks either way. Like I said....sounds like they had their eye on him. Glad to see that US cops aren't the only ones wasting valuable time and and tax payers dollars on petty criminals. Jeesh!

Hey all! so far Im not able to say whether Soma is still in czech jail. Some guys from blunt.tv say under youtube video he was free after 48 hours ..but it seems to me they missunderstand a bit .. 48 hours is limit time for police that you can be kept in jail without giving charge ..but its not meaning that he must get out after two days ...in case charge was given and police ask for him to be under arrest until trial ..and news article say that it is what happend, he would be there as long as they want. So its quite messy now and I am unable to find out from any local source if hes still in jail ..we would need somebody from somas team to tell us or him personally coming to say "Hello Im back" if possible ..so Soma if you are arround allready let us know ..just to calm us and stop us from starting guerilla operation to free you up

about time though, how dare they keep some one for 48 hours for passing a joint? i'm sure that's against the European human rights laws. passing a joint is not a criminal offense. Soma needs to sue them for human rights abuses. the worst that would have happened if it was just an average Joe was a quick visit to the station search and statement followed by a fine and let go a few hours later at worst. normally they'd just fine you on the spot and let you go on your way after making sure you didn't have more then personal on you. they only tried to throw the book at Soma because he's a known figure in the scene. hence the justice system was abused/corrupted for political reasons.
