Soma A+ aka Rockbud - DAY 57

Heres my 10 ladies right here, I had one more but for some reason it finished alot faster, almost think it was a different pheno from a different mom or something. Anyways, heres the stats on the grow. 4x4 room, 1000w aircooled (not so well) hps, medium = 1/3 FFOF, 1/3 Royal Gold Coco, 1/3 FF Chunky Perlite, nutes were a mixture of cutting edge solutions 3part, plant amp, budswel, liquid karma, sweet, guano teas, and a dose of top max. It was an uphill battle, as this was my first serious attempt at my own place. Im quite pleased with my results tho The awesome hardy genetics from Soma sure helped Im sure, blessings! As you will see a couple tops right under the light got bleached a little bit, I ran out of head room! These will probably get the chop when my house guests leave at the end of the weekend! So, lets get to the pics! My camera is shitty as hell, but Im still stoked to have someone I can show them off too! I hope you enjoy as much as I do!

Looking good, the burning doesn't look like it will have hurt them much. The one with the red/purple leaves intrigues me, I wonder if that is the red-leafed pheno Soma uses a pic of to advertise this strain? One of the best smokes I've ever been given was a cross of 'a red-leafed rockbud male' and a 'black leafed Leda Uno indica pheno'.

Looking forward to a smoke report, let us know if that read leafed one is the best pheno.

all i know is this was one of my earlier grows and man will always stay with me... i lost the mom. but man she was killer. i ahd buds that looked like the picture on the seed pack. i got lucky and got the color pheno which in turn just tastes like grapefruit but hell the buds were freakin gorgeous.. great job great grow.

MysterX I was told this was the color pheno, but only one or two had any color, and it was minor. I was thinking they might not of changed because of the high temps.

blowfishdirect Even if they didnt get much color, the leaves definately had some weird autumn look to them, kinda golden yellow almost.

British_Hempire Im not sure why one turned more color then the rest, they appear to be the same pheno, they were all from clone so I assume the same mom. Im not positive tho. The smoke is really good. SUPER stoney. Makes you wanna just lay in the sun and do nothing. Very good pain meds. Smell is a kinda pineapple, fruity, skunky. Taste for some reason reminds me alot of a afghani trainwreck that was around these parts for a while. Good stuff, and Ive only had fresh examples. Nothing cured out yet. I think it will be A+ MEDS!

Those look awesome and looks to be a good haul. How close was your light?

In the start I could keep the light around 8''. But what happened was the smell was getting out of control, and the scrubber I had was to big to fit into my space. So I had to make a makeshift one out of loose carbon and the fan couldnt handle the drag. So my air cooled hood, wasnt air cooled to well. So at that point about a foot away, and with 4.5' of headroom, I ran out! Gonna make alot of adjustments before the next run.

Sorry folks, dead batteries in the camera , so no trim party pics. I took all the big tops tonight, and boy are they FROSTY! Im really stoked with the outcome, this strain is DANK! The smell is really different, pungent. I left all the smaller stuff that never got good light in the room to hopefully fatten up for a couple more days. I think all in all, I should have an elbow here. Either way, it came out good. Thanks ICMAG! I couldnt of done it without you guys. I learned alot from here. Ill get some drying pics up as soon as I can get same batteries. (As long as my friend doesnt steal her camera back from me, Ive had it on loan for a while.)
