Are you having trouble with the t 103?Just wondering cause I've had 3 1K vertizontals on mine for over 2 years now and havent had any problems.Well actually I'm using the intermatic "little gray box" hot water heater timer, same thing except the box has an external on-off lever
Ya OP thats not what I had in mind. I'm looking to configure a digital solenoid timer board. They use a digital timer, and run off of a battery in case of power outage.
You just want to use a digital timer to run a big load? Get a digital timer with battery backup, and a contactor with mains voltage coil. Use the timer output to drive the contactor coil, and use the contactor to drive your load.
I use a Toro 12 station 4 sch. Irr. timer to run my lights,co2,exhaust fans, water pump.I use some 24 Vac mechanical contactor relays that are rated between 20A-50A.It gives you up to 108 on/off cycles. It has not failed in 5 years. JK
The output of the timer drives the coil of the contactor (they come in 12V, 24V and mains voltage, it has to be a mains voltage rated coil to do it directly like this).
You switch the power to your ballast through the contactor's contacts. Is that what you meant? Obviously I'm not using a digital timer but it hooks up the same way.
