Hey everybody, the soil in my area has a high clay percentage, once you hit about one foot down its just muddy dirt with just a liittle bit of clay, not bad, but at about two feet its about half clay half dirt. And a few weeks ago, not really thinking about it, I transplanted a plant into a prepared hole big enough to fit the 1 gallon root ball from the plant, and about two more gallons of potting soil under and around it. I just put it into the ground, and not with a pot.
Now about two or three weeks later the new growth on the top of the plant is kind of wrinkly. Would this be because it's roots have reached the natural soil with the high clay percenatge?
thanks
