After reading many threads, I thought it would be a good idea to start a soil sog growers thread to see how other peaple were doing it. I will post my new grow soon just wanted to generate some interest. I will be posting.

Ok so this is the grow I just finished, I am moving to a new location and totally changing my setup i will post plans and will update as time goes on but hoping to get some other peaple on this thread to share there experiance with there current and past grows.

Strain/ GHS the Church & Super lemon haze
Medium/ Soil, Pro mix,perlite,worm castings,dolimite lime
Nutes/ Fox farm grow big and tiger bloom
Grow room/ 10x10 100% panda film
Venting and fans/ Plenty
Co2/ 1300-1500 ppm always-co2 generator
Lights/ 6000 Watts HPS Flowering room 10x10
Lights/ cfl for clones and seedlings & 2x400W metal halide for Veg
Veg cycle / 24hrs for 4 weeks from clone
Flower / 12/12 for 9 weeks
Grow conditions 80-85 40% humidity
Grow style Not sure I believe maybe see of green.
I do not. Super crop,Fim,Top,SCROG, or Lollipop
I just fill the room and prune of the dead leaves.

I have been averaging anywere from 1 to 1.5 oz per plant with this method but I think my next grow will be more dialed in, also I had alot of heat problems do to my co2 generator, that I hope to solve next grow. I will be changing from 5 gal pots to 3 and will be using 4000 watts on light movers I would like to do 4 4x6 tables veg for 1 month from clone in 3 gallon pots, 24 per table 1000 w per table. I believe a true sog is 12/12 from clone but I wont have enough clones for 4 months after this grow I would like to try 12/12 from clone
with 96 per table bringing 2 tables in every month. I will post a sketch of my planned grow room as soon as I can figure out hoe to upload pics.

So what are you guys doing and what are you getting ??????

Nice grow! Do you find that you get root bound in 1 gal pots? Are you just running 1 1000w light? I really hope more peaple start posting this could be a good thread.

Yah just one 1000W.

They were a little root bound but there was still quite a bit of the soil not sued up in the center of the pot.

This is my current setup but this time with 64 plants.

One problems with the 1gal pots that I encountered and its actually even more so this time is how fast some of the plants absorbed the water. Its more so now in the Coco and just checked them today and half of them are pretty dry even though I watered yesterday and half still can go one more day

I always though SOG would be not the way to go but with 7-8 weeks to finish a crop I think this is the way to go compared to fewer plants and going for 11-13 weeks.

Bud bug have you ever done a sog from seed ?

I am starting construction on the new room next week. And will be starting from scratch again:cry:

The room I am building is very similar to the grows that I have been doing, but this time I am going to try light movers instead of runnin

budbug (nice frickin work btw!), you have seriously got me thinking about trying a SOG/soil grow, I have been a soil grower for a very long time, and have always thought about "what if I just ran 48 small pots, trying to get 10grams from each plant"? (or an ounce each would be 3lbs!)

one question if I may: how are you watering 49 1gal pots?

and what are suitable strains for this?

I know my current blue dreams, and grape ape both branch WIDE like a tumbleweed, so they probably wont work,....

Depends on the strain. I think in order to get close to 2lb per light you'd still have to veg for at least a week.

I'm actually just talking to someone and trying to get info off him as he's done 2+lb dry out of 49 PK under each bulb in a 4x4 area. He got close to 13lb out of 6 lights. He said he still vegged for almost two weeks. It was crowded but seems the PK didn't mind.

By hand :) This time I got 64 and still doing it by hand. Takes about 15 min to do it.

Don't know exactly which stains but Diesel, 007, Nebula, K2

I've haven't see it but I've also known guys who do 50 PK (vegged for 4 days) per light. They flipped them just to get a little stretch but not long enough that the PK would develop the side branches, this seems to make the plants develop more of the main cola and not too much popcorn buds on the side branches. They pull of 1.5lb per light dry.

sorry for the double question, but when you say "by hand",..are you using a watering can?, or a small fountain pump, and watering wand?

sorry to ask for the exact specifics, but my grow area is super tight, and I'm not sure I can get to the rear girls after they are grown up,..I was thinking a drip, or ebb/drain setup, like the hydro crowd does.

thanks for the super quick reply, and very helpful info,....this forum rocks as hard as purple erkle nugs!

I just get a 1L or 750ml pop bottle and cut it to size. Then just use that to pour the water/food into the pot.
