Soil Mix

I am using 10 parts Natures Care Organic soil, 5 parts perlite and 5 parts peat moss.... and my plants a having some leafs turn yellow... I do not have a ph meter yet so I can't tell what the ph is like.. Any other suggestions ... since I was using just ordinary top soil and symtoms were really drastic, now not so much but still some yellowing . This didn't happen to me when I cultivated in South America.

Any suggestions on improving my soil mix....????

bat guano , worm castings, dolamite lime, amazonite [sp] coco coir add some to each batch . i tend to stay away from peat but it is good as long as you add the lime i also like old manure it also has great bugs in it

Old manure... do you mean Cow manure or other...?

ya the kind you buy in a bag just make sure it is not waterlogged or hard as a brick . nice a soft fluffy is my choice. i like to mix all of it together and leave it sit for a week or longer . i just mix , water and cover with a tarp outside. let the bugs do their thing and blend together . put some in a small planter and water check the runoff and see that you need if anything to adjust

Can you tell me what proportions you use on the coco peat, organic soil, manure and perlite and sand..... (you don't seem to use perlite and sand)???
