Hi all, just wondering who grows indoors with soil.Ive been tinkering with it for the last year or so but i'm finding it really hard to find a potting mix that is free of all the ferts and shit they put it them.I see in the USA they have products like Foxfarn etc but here there's no such thing.
the mix i'm using atm is a mix of orgaic soil with perlite and peat.It seems to work ok but i am interested in what other peeps are using. Maybe this could be the start of an organic indoor thread for us Aussies. :joint:

Mate my potting pix indoor or out is as follows:

Firstly i follow the KISS factor and its really confusing some of the shit thats out there, i mean did god mean for it to be this difficult?

60% organic potting mix (australian standards red approval not black)
10% brickies sand
15% perlite
10% worm castings
5% organic fertiliser (searles 5 in 1 etc)

I then fertilize every other day with a mixture of worm juice, worm castings and filterpress (i am lucky enough to have a sugar mill close by)

Take a look at my hashberry grow for some results.

Hope this helps.

I just use Amgrowm Organix range (Big W and Bunnings). It's just pure soil and does not have any of those "slow release" pellets you find in most. Never had problems and grown some killer weed.

70% Organix "Potting Soil".
10% Organix "Nutri-Blen 5" compost.
20% Perlite.

Never required nutes during Veg.

Some "Organix" results:

I have started to veg mine indoors for this years outdoor grow and I'm using 50% Coco/peat 40% Compost and 5-10% Chicken & Sheep Manure plus 1TSP of Dolomite lime and a small amount of dynamic lifter and blood and bone and it's working well. I don't know what people think about Australia's potting mixes but I found them too be too sandy and I don't trust they're 100% organic. Check out the Organic Soil forum there's plenty of soil mixes there.

Mate i always look for the red stamp of approval, its at least some guarantee that there is a standard being followed.

I was just saying from my personal experience that was all. I just read a few things from someone who worked with richgro and what they put into some of their products but I used some of their potting mix last year worked quite well but I prefer Peat & Compost because it works a lot better in my experience.

Aye,Aussie commercial soil is a fukn' joke...It doesn't really exist IMO....I said fuck it and went with uber 3expensive Canna soil.A soil tailor made for growing cannabis really appeals to me:)
I'll let peeps know how it goes as there doesn't seem to be much info on it
Cheers;-)

Oh,I'll obviously be using Canna soil nutes too....Again,there doesn't seem to be much info :bashhead:
