soil mix for a small pot

Good day everyone, If you had to grow a plant in a small pot from start to finish what would your approach be soil-wise? I have tried this before but i used bottled nutes which I'm not doing this time.

This is purely for fun with friends but I'm sure I'll learn something on the way.

Same mix you used before but with some slow release plant food in there lol.

You'll be feeding quite regularly if you anticipate any size and production from that plant; my $.02.

I've done slightly larger pots in a mother cupboard, but your nutrients in a pot that size, with anything larger than a small-ish plant, will require routine feeding early in development.

You can do it. The question is, what kind of results are you looking for?
