Hi Boevo
I don't know too much about the orchid mix, but I have used FoxFarm nutes with Miracle Grow in the past. It's pretty good, just don't use too much. With the MG it will be a few weeks before you have to add anything. MG can be kind of a pain since the ferts are time released. I use the organic version now with perlite and vermiculite added.

Check to see if the miracle grow soil mix contains dolomite lime. If not, add a couple teaspoons per gallon of soil mix (4 liters). Choose powdered/pulverized not pelletized dolomite.

Follow blackvelvet aka buzzlightyear aka sproutco aka pathetic poser's advice at your own peril.......he has been banned and canned multiple times here, but like a terrible mite infestation, he keeps coming back mutated as a new pest.

You didn't even answer the question, blackvelvet, just too eager to post your own off topic bs and feed your ego. Not even a word how the MG soil will kill the young plants. Either you just don't know or you wanted that to happen.....Are you going to come back and answer for yourself, for a change? Or are you just waiting for 50 posts so you can neg rep me like you usually to do to everyone that calls you out, behind your momma's skirt?

Boevo, first of all. if you start seedlings or clones in that MG soil you will probably kill them because of the time release ferts. You need a seed starting mix with no nutes added to start plants. Seedlings don't need food for 2 weeks and clones are good till they get a new node growing and put up new leaves.

Second, orchid mix is mostly bark and course materials because orchids in the wild get their moisture and nutrients from the air, not soil. They mostly don't even grow in soil, they grow off trees. This mix is not suitable for the fine roots of marijuana, will not hold enough moisture and ferts, and displaces root space with chunks of bark. You need a fine mix with peat or as I prefer, coco coir. If you use peat then add 30% more perlite. I am using coco with no perlite and it is fine.

You can use the Fox Farm ferts, many do, but it is preference. I use BioBizz. Some prefer PureBlend Pro. Depends what is accessible, affordable and what you feel comfy with. You need to try to see if you like. Tiger bloom is not organic and I believe the other ferts are semi organic, if this is an issue for you. Just go easy on the nutes, feed half of what the bottles recommend until you can dial in feedings for your particular plants in your conditions.

Hope this helps.

HeadyPete!
THANKS!!!
I've started seeds in a seed starter. No MG for this! I do know that much.lol
Will not transplant plants until my soil is close to being right.
I'll drop adding the orchid to the soil mixs.
And HeadyPete I want my nutes to be organic.
So I'll be looking on the net for organic nutes.
Thank you so much for your views and HELP!
Best Fishes to you.
Boevo.
