Hi friends, I watered as usual on Wednesday morning same day we got a half inch of rain but watered a few hours before it rained. Growing in 30 gallon geos with a pretty good canopy above the soil. Its been 3 days since watering last, i was watering every other day before the rain. I noticed my top layer of soil feels kind of hard like dryish then i take my finger and scrape it a bit and it just feels water logged sticky and gummy kind of muddy textured. It was mid 80's yesterday mid 90's today and suppose to be close to a 100 tomorrow. I was gonna water tomorrow no matter what but i was wondering what happened with my soil? there is tons of perlite and lava rock in it for drainage. Was it a mistake to water the morning that we got a half inch of rain? The soil was bone dry that same morning. Thanks
