I have a 8'x4' area with 3 600watt HPS lights. For a SOG how many plants would you suggest I put in there?, And what size pots would you recomend?. I'm growing in Coco. 3 different strains White Widow, Northern Lights, Purple Power.

Go with 72 plants in 1 gallon containers as a starting point...if you veg them more than a week to 10 days, you might want to consider 2 gallon containers.

I've taken clones about 1 week ago. They would have only just sprouted roots. Should I switch them to flower now?. They're only about 2' Tall. Shouln't I veg them to atleast 8"?. That would take me about 3 weeks.

As long as they're thoroughly rooted it doesn't really matter. The plants will pretty much all stretch to the same height whether they were flowered at 2" or 8".

Here's a pic of a SOG plant I did recently with 0 days of veg...just transplanted the clones and put em in 12/12. I usually wait until I've got 4"-6" long roots in my bubble cloner before transplanting them though...

And a few of the other colas from 0 day veg group...

Proper trimming is the biggest trick when doing a SOG...you'll want to remove about 2/3 of the side branches 1 week after flipping them to 12/12 then after the stretch is over, remove any other side branches that haven't already grown even with the tip of the main cola.

Thanks for the advice MTF. For some reason my clones seem to take slot longer to root then everyone elses. They're been in there little green house now for 2 weeks. They're only just starting to grow now. So another week or 2. I think I'll have to investigate how bubble cloners work to speed up the process!.

As long as they're rooting consistently I wouldn't make switching to a new cloning method a top priority.

What kind of rooting times are you having and what's your cloning method?

Dont flower them untill they are well rooted man. Once they are 8 or so inches tall, then id flower them. At least wait for the stem to thicken a bit and the plant to actually start growing rapidly(not roots, leafs). You want a rootzone able to supply the plant through its early life.
