soda/tonic water foliar spray?

hey, i remember reading somewhere that if you foliar feed with the carbonated tonic water that the leaves can absorb the CO2 from it... is this true or will it damage my plants, ive never used this method before...

much of the co2 is lost before the plant can absorb it, its really not worth it in the end...but if you want to aerate your soil it works wonders

For starters, you want to use straight seltzer water. It's water and CO2 only. And yes, I grew my first couple of crops in soil with it, and my plants seemed to love it.

Quite expansive . Will it aerate as it's water and C02 ? an little air pump in the water used to feed the plants would not be better ?
