SoCal winter Outdoor Flowering?

I am trying to plan my next grow. I want to put outside 14-16in teens in 5g pots to flower in November.

I heard to use a indica dom strain over a sativa in doing this. 2-3oz per plant possible?

Currently finishing my large outdoor 45g blue dream 1st time grow.

Hi want, I have seen this done before in socal. I would keep a close eye on low temps and cover/add heat if need be.Good luck, and how did your BD turn out?

go for it I do it all year long here in socal....it will flower with in two weeks so try and get your girls as big as you can so you will get a decent yield. Also spray with neem to prevent green aphids and pm. Budworms dont seem to be a problem for me during the winter months also when it rains just shake your plants and your all good

I'm doing a test run in SoCal now. I put a clone , vegged under T5s, outside around Oct 15th. It's a 60/40 sat/ind hybrid called The Void Here it is last week at week 3 outside.

I just moved from Texas and hope to do the same.. I have a shed I will run a couple in there
under 2k watts and I will have the rest of "the legal limit" outdoor trying to dial in the fluctuating temps.. I was hoping to not have to go the seed bank route so any suggestions on spider mite free CLONES is appreciated.. Stay blessed brother.

Be careful potter.... I'm in the sd area as well and played the whole shed grow game.fully insulated with r19 in walls and r 20 something at the ceiling, still ended up with a 1k electric bill as the a/c ' s would crank all day and do absolutely nothing. Mind you that was with only 2k in bulbs running as well. Your best bet is honestly cutting the roof off and placing some corrugated plastic panels on the top that allow sun in and heat to escape. Just my .02 as I've done it first hand.

As far as greenhouse in sd, I do it year round in hempys. Just make sure to watch the night temps if you're in the mountains or very near large bodies of fresh water.

appreciate the honesty brother, and was talking with my home owner and was thinking of a semi greenhouse type thing you are speaking of. Do you have any examples are pics I can see. lol sorry for the newbness..

and one more questions my Teens came in coco, should i keep the m in that when i transplant, or will transplanting to FFOF or ProMix Hp..
I have transplanted into new mediums with no ill effects, im just wondering about maintenance and watering.

Sadly I didn't keep any pictures. It was such a failure I'm sure I deleted them to ensure the painful memories of that electric bill didn't haunt me. Just go to lowes or home depot and they have the corrugated plastic roofing. They have it in translucent, clear, and green. My greenhouse is tipped with translucent and the plants love it.

As far as medium, that's really your call. I recently discovered hempy buckets and will never again go back to soil. That said, a hempy outside in below 38 degrees.... probably not going to be too happy of a plant for too long. All in how much attention you can give them.
