soaking cuttings in water

Hello everyone

A took some cuttings the other day. I have planted most of them in my cloner however there are about 20 over....they have been soaking in the water for exactly 44 hours.....
Will they still be fine to give my mate for him to root? Baically have they been soaking in the water to long does this make any difference???

Thanks in advance

When you say soaking what exactly do you mean? When i have cuttings im gonna be letting sit for an extended period of time I wrap just the cut end of the cutting with a wet paper towel. Gently stuff the cuts into the bottom of a ziplock baggie and put them in the crisper drawer of your fridge. I myself dont let them sit more than a week. A few people i know have went as long as 3 weeks. GL peace LL

By what you have said I assume they will be fine..
What do you think?
Cheers for the response

Yes it will be fine! they will root in plain water but it takes about 3 weeks. If the bottom looks a bit brown you could cut a little bit off but it should be no problem at all.

If your saving them do what i said in my last post. If your gonna plant them id do it now and if they die get more cuts. Peace LL

:joint: Yep - fun to watch them root in glasses of water on the window sill....

You'd be smart to throw an air stone in the bucket attached to an air pump to add oxygen to the water. clones rule.
