Don't live there, not from there, but I once live in Englishtown and worked in Freehold. Beautiful country, nice people. Camden, AC, Trenton, Newark and Jersey City all suck, but I love the small outskirt townships and the Shore is nice. Good pay, lots of work, full service gas stations are cool, but cost of living is high, insurance sucks, chicks are fat, and weed is a joke. I lived there for two years, got cold one winter and came back to paradise. WaWa
I lived in Washington Twp for awhile. Thank fuck my wife took a job on the west coast. But there were two shops that I liked, one was by Rutgers, the other was on the shore. Can't think of the names of them to save my life.
I'll know I've fucked up if I ever have to travel the GSP again.
Or maybe I just didn't live there long enough to get used to it.
Hells yeah dirty jerz! Burlington Co. and Middlesex represent! I spent 3rd-9th grade near Cherry Hill, and some of the fam lives not far from NYC, but on the armpit side. Shit, let em all think its NJ Tpke smokestacks and trenton dime sacks, We'll keep the party exclusive and hush-hush, right behind their backs.
I was born in south jersey, next to the town where the JD legend was born. I lived in North Jersey through my formative years and loved it... Best Pizza, italian hot dogs, taylor ham.. I would live there again if i could afford it.
Born and raised in Jersey city. Virginia ave to be exact. Although life has lead me deep in the southeast now all my family still lives in jersey. Seaside heights and the boardwalk were so fun when I was growing up but WTF happened? I still visit a few times a year and it seems things just get worse and worse. BTW, does anybody know how hard it is to live in the south and have a STRONG jersey accent?? I get shit like yankee go home.
Its called the leeds devil if you were from my particular area in south jersey.. legend originated in Leeds Point.. The pine barrens are an erie place.. especially at night.
yeah the pine barrens, i heard this story about a dude who tripped over a rock and he was a cop int he forest and he saw it running after him in the woods.
South Jersey born and raised. The garden part of the state. Nothing close to armpits here, unless you get too close to the Delaware River.
And the women? Jersey girls are the best in the world!
Holysmokes, we know, we know.... The Jersey Devil is real. Would you mind grabbing a video cam and going down to the Pine Barrens one nite to get some proof for the others that don't believe? Maybe Dan42nepa will come down and be your guide. We can call it "The Jersey Devil Project".
My family roots down there go back to the 1600's.. Lots of stories about ancestors experiences with the JD. I had a very very erie experience down there when I was young.. I think we should all go camp in the barrens and I will tell you all about it after a few bowls.. My grandmother swore it existed and my great grandfather supposedly tried to shoot it and his gun barrel melted. I'm not saying i believe in it but when I was young some very strange things happened down there..
