On average lol. I'm just curious. I'm gonna run my light horizontal this time.. But I always stop by and check out the vertical threads from time to time. I'm thinking of giving it a try soon. I'm only running a 250 though
Uhhh most of the peeps here are going vertical to maximize yields, their is one guy called uhhh let's see......250scrubber or hmmm he has a thread, I would check out any MICRO threads....I'm pumping 5 packs regularly so I'm not gunna be able to help you, hell I use a 250 watt bulb just to luminance my potting bench lol.
Good luck brother!
Edit:Found it ......check 250wscrogger thread
i play with vsog and a 250w hps a few years back. got like 5oz with 8 plants. and 2 were really weak genetics.
Haha! True Dat!someone has to provide the micro-growers with bud when they run out... lol...
Thanks for the reply! That is very interesting to read.. I think I might run into similar results because I am not heavily experienced in vertical. Your grows look awesome though! If I get anywhere near your results I will be happyHey Mr. Stoner. Hopefuly I can throw some advice your way. I used a 250 watt light for a while until just recently upgrading to a 400. My last 250 grow I ran vert type of scrog. It pulled a little less than I usualy get with a normal scrog, about 4.25 oz's. I do not blame vert, more genetics and a cramped growing space. Dont be intimidated by the big multi-light guys pulling #lbs. Small growers want to maximize their light just as much as big growers. If you have the means and desire thttps://www.icmag.com/ic/picture.php?albumid=28641&pictureid=642840 o go vert, than give it a shot. Im running a half pipe style scrog now, but still think about trying vert again. Whatever you decide good luck.
Heres a few pics of my vert 250 grow.

Take it easy bro.
not being funny... but there's no reason you can't pull a 1/2 lb w/ a 250w lamp. , prolly more...
Nice pics wick420. You could easily double the height of that canopy, and push the plants back a little bit... Put the fan under the lamp and blow the heat up, instead of down onto the plants.
I've never grown with a 250w lamp, I went straight to a 400w... It was overkill for my skill level at the time. maybe you should PM 250wscrogger...
no matter how you hang your light, it's all about plant #'s.......
you don't need to build a coliseum or stadium or even hang your light vert to get a good yield, vert growers THINK they are yielding more by hanging the lamp vert, but really, they are just utilizing space to fit more plants, the math is the same either way, you can yield 4 lbs from one 1000w with 100 plants, so goes to say you could do a pound with a 250 watter given you had 25 plants-ish.....so....whether you hang them from the ceiling, or cover the walls, or cram them onto the floor, increasing plant numbers is key.......look into tower growing, and cube growing to fit that many plants under that light......find a way to maximize plant #'s.....
the intensity of 1000w increases your ability to grow tighter buds and more of them........logically I think you could max out at 1/2 lb at least with a 250.....done right......
I was pulling about 20 plus zips per harvest with my 600 watt vertical, and it wasn't even totally dialed in. Bare bulb. Scrog. Light mover. I think dialed in it would produce 25. Unfortunately I had to stop abruptly.
IMO 10 zips for a 250 watt should be very doable. The key is in the scrog, having a good distance to increase canopy diameter, and utilizing the space efficiently. People who have their canopy all close to the light are wasting the power and burning their leaves.
Also use coco rather than soil. Double the yields. Or go hydro and triple them.
Below the light where most people put a big fan, I usually just put a plant. Don't need one there with enough distance heat is not really an issue, especially with the mover, the light was not in one spot long enough to overheat the leaves.
The fan I put at the top above the light pulling air up rather than pushing it up from the bottom. I also had a large fan on the outside just pushing air throughout the room.
Worked great. When my situation improves that's exactly what I'll do again.
