i am baby sitting a friend's plants for a week. they are in coco, already established plants. All i need to do really is feed them every couple of days and give them good light. EASY.
well... i was rotating them this afternoon (so all the sides get equally sufficient light) when I see, on the Dabney Blueberry, mushrooms? growing out of the coco? :flower
huh? what?
anyone ever seen this before?

strange.... i wonder... can i eat the mushrooms ha ha ha
seriously, anyone with experience or opinions please feel free to let them out.
mahalo!

I've had that on a regular house plant before. Don't eat it, and I think there kind of pretty due to the extreme yellow, but get rid of it. It happens when there's a high humidity.

Their called Leucocoprinus birnbaumii

Their unlikely to cause any harm to the plant, so if you really wanted to, you could leave it, but as it continues to grow, it losses’ it's bright yellow color.. I 'd ditch it. They are pretty weird looking. The fungus could of been present in the soil before hand, and when it was introduced to high humidity it "popped" In my experience that’s the only way they appear, Is the humidity high in the room ?
