So about a week ago she got arrested for public intox and resisting arrest. The next day she takes 2 hits of SOur Lifesaver and that's it. I gave her a doobie to take home, but she said she hasnt touched it yet She doesn't smoke but once in a blue moon. She gets out of court this morning and is probation and has to go take the "test" on march 7. That will be about 2.5 weeks since she puffed. Do you guys think she will be ok, or should I look into a cleanser for her? She is about 140-150 lbs and about 5'7" or so. I told her do drink lots of water between now and then and she should be ok. She is freaking out because if she fails, she will have to serve a year in jail.

Tell her to get some tests to take before she goes.
And try to pee like three times before she goes, and to catch it midstream.
She probably doesn't need all that, but.won't hurt.
I got clean in three weeks and smoke like crazy.

If shes only an occasional user, then there is a good chance she will be clean by the time she has the test.
She will be fine. They can't violate you for smoking before you go on probation. PO's know it takes a month to get out of your system, and hardly ever give anyone a test the first time. So her first meeting will probably be just signing papers and going over the rules. She should NOT admit to smoking ever in her life though, cause they will ask.

Yeah, if that's honestly all she smoked she might even be clean by now. It's frequent chronic smokers that have the long cleanout periods. Chugging water between now and the test won't really do anything but make her have to pee a lot for the next week and a half, but have her make sure she's hydrated (not OVERhydrated - you don't want a dilute)

Yeah, she took two hits off a joint and I smoked a joint in the car taking her home. Window was rolled down most of the time. I told her to grab one of the tests at the drugstore..we will see.
And I hope they give her a pass if she fails. She smoked 6 days before her court appearance.

Not sure anymore. Her dumbass boyfriend was the one driving and ultimately caused the resisting arrest charge. The public intoxication was only a misdemeanor....he is still in jail awaiting his court appearance......young and dumb...
Man sneaky... that sucks bro...2.5-3 weeks SHOULD be enough time for a person that only smokes once or so a month, to get clean...But in this situation, I dont think I would want to chance it on a "Should"....Tell her to drink lots of water/green tea, and maybe even take something before she has to give the sample...I at All cost...NEVER give my urine in a test, but with this being for The Courts, substitution may not be an option..

Thanks for the well wishes C.V. She went to the drugstore and bought a drug test today. She talked to the pharmacist and he told her this was the same test that the state gives. Checks for I think 12 things including common detoxes. She took it and everything came up negative, so she is extremely relieved. She was told after court that if she fails the test for any reason, she would have to serve 11-29 in jail. That person was hopefully just trying to scare her....it worked.
