So much trouble finding a 250w hps in Canada :(

I've been searching for a 250w HPS system in Canada for a very long time. I tried ebay for the past few months with with no luck, I also checked craigslist nearly every day, finally I went to my local hydro store and they want $230 for a ballast and socket! I just wanna cry! Does anyone know of a merchant in Canada offering a good deal on a 250w hps (or even other equipment) that I might not know of? Where do you all go?

Just get a bulb and your good to go, but if I can make a suggestion, just go with a 400W, its just as hot as a 250 but produces more lumes.

Man thank you so much! That is exactly what I was looking for, I wish I could hug you! Wow, is it really true that the 400 gets just as hot as the 250? I didn't know that, I was actually going for the 250 thinking it would be cooler, but if they run at the same temps then I'm definitely going for a 400.

250 is not much cooler if any, same fans that you were going to use with that will cool a 400w, where are you planning on growing? dimensions? fans?

On my first 400 W grow in my apartment closet I got about 4 or 5 ounces using it with 2 muffin fans.

There is definitely a difference. You'll need 40-100 extra CFM for a 400 and the noise that comes with it. If you've got a place for the noise: locked room, attic, etc. no worries. FWIW my 250 has me buried alive.
