So much for starting small... InducedSerenity's ongoing 2kw First Grow!

Pebbles, you got it, I'll post up when i get the chance, but the veg shot may be close to what you're looking for.

IF, hello sir, and thanks for the kind words yet again :D.

Interesting point about the leaves... my late-flower plants are all flopped over on each other, they are way top-heavy! I'm going to have to staple some chicken wire to the ceiling to tie them all up... something I really wanted to avoid. I added silica to my veg res to try to combat this in the future, and will jiggle them around frequently.

With the pre-supercropping you were talking about, did you mean pinching, bending, or what? I LST plants to themselves during veg and also during stretch, but I'd love to do anything I can to strengthen all of the branches and avoid tying them up in the future.

Yeah, the cuts were taken a couple of weeks into flower.. I'm going to pot up a couple of mothers and use those from now on.

I'm having a hard time determining when to flush since I don't know how long these girls want... i think the PPP is probably ready to flush now? I can't get a macro pic good enough to show you guys, but they are getting cloudy. Should I swap out with plain water tonight? I can handwater the OGMK if they're still not ready to be flushed, and blumat can just provide plain water for moisture as needed.

thanks for reading all that! =P

Yep.

All of the above, although I am more comfortable carefully flexing/bending the plant gently until I can feel a change in rigidity (it becomes softer), then move on to the next limb/stalk. It is possible to create monster stems with a great deal of structure/stiffness with this approach.

With the plants coming from flower, I wouldn't worry at all about the irregularity in their leaf structure, or attribute it to anything other than the hormonal shifts coming out of flower...

I don't know what to say about the flush. You could consider running a lighter feed to the end (EC1.2ish). If they have to go longer, at least they're still getting some of the non-migratory elements (even if they'd prefer more).

That also seems like a reasonable approach. Are you going to run these genetics again? Anything info you can accumulate from this run should be helpful in future runs... Hell, you might want to record them in this log so that you don't loose/forget the info. (It might even help someone else out...)

Thanks IS! It takes shots like those to understand a few things.

That is nice to see how healthy the plants are using this system. Looks like a good way to grow them!

Sorry for being useless.. I won't bother with an explanation

I left my veg plants too long without checking them.. guess what happened? This pic was an afterthought when I was almost all the way done trimming off the damage, but they were completely into the lights, and the lights dripped water out when I raised them. Oops.

After a lot of supercropping and LST, they're quite a bit shorter, for now... I had to abuse them a lot. I thought my flowering plants would be done 2 weeks ago.... not happening.

Update on flowering plants.. I thought they would finish around 65 or so and cut out the Micro per Rez type recipe.. once I figured out that wasn't happening, I added it back in at about 4ml/gal, with Bloom at 9ml/gal, and 1/4 - 1/2 tsp/gal Kookbloom powder. So much for recipes. Running at about 1.9-2 EC (900-1000 PPM)

I know the leaves aren't pretty..

Trichs are still nearly all clear with a couple of cloudy and one or two amber on PPP, all clear on OGMK.

FML! haha.

Heya IS! I remember you :) I came here to check on things and sure enough you were back.

I am sure all this is going to make you a better grower! My seed run got close to the lights. Kinda not good for the plant oops!

I hope the next 15 days or so prove out well for your plants :)

Looks good. Check out my coco runs for some inspiration. I absolutely love coco and the screen.I think you are going to be hooked. Enjoy friend :)
