So Im STILL coughing stuff up

G

Sorry for making yet another thread about this.

I know if I go to the doctor they will just put me on an antibiotic and that will be that.

I am a little worried though because I have been coughing this stuff (mucous) up for at least 3 months now, and it is not getting any better.

This morning there was actually a little blood in the loogey. Really dark blood. Almost black.

Last thread I made, a lot of people said I should just go see my doctor. As you can tell, Im reluctant to doing so.

My question is whether or not I can take anything or do anything that will help me out.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Mucous?
How much though? I cough up shit all the time. The blood thing is weird tho..

not like an incredible amount.

I had someone tell me that it could just be allergies. Ya, the blood thing is definitely kind of weird, and sometimes it has a light brown in it too.

You smoke cigs bro? I use to smoke newports and that is what happened to me. I had to quit and it took months before it cleared up. I also got asthma so that played a part too.

no cigs. I also have a mild case of asthma.

The only reason why Im reluctant to seeing a doctor is because I usually on go to see a doctor if I NEED to. Like if something is really bothering me.

I cough shit up all the time for years, with brown, black in it, but to me it's tar and ashes.
Does it hurt? How long have you been smoking?

if u have asthma and are using the inhalers prior to the coughing up then the inhalers are doing the job of clearing the shit off your lungs ,,blood is usually a sign of coughing too hard when your tubes are really dry and your trying to dislodge the crap ,ask the doctor for liquid asthma treatments to prevent the dryness

smoking for 6+ years.
I dont use inhalers anymore. Last time I did was at least 6 months ago.

Like I said, it doesn't hurt at all.

even if u have mild asthma u still should use inhalers regularly to stop the mucus building up ,,you coughing up regular obviously means your tubes are narrowing and you do indeed need the asthma treatment ,u just may need a different asthma medication ,,

you should definately go see a doctor ,any illness related to breathing needs more investigation

yes, there is a lot of dust where I am now, also the air is very dry.

I think Im just going to take a month or more off from smoking and I'm sure things will get better. I've recently cut back a lot from my herb intake, so Im sure that has something to do with it. Also, I've noticed that if I dont smoke until really late at night (usually smoke around 8 or 9) then I continue to cough stuff up during the night time until I smoke.

Either way, Im sure I just need to take a break. I believe my lungs are just trying to clean themselves out

No offence but this sentence is all kinds of stupid.
