As the title says I gota free 1/8 of kens skywalker and in it came about 15 seeds should I try and grow them out? Seems like a good strain... but my question lyes is how do u know if its a hermi seed or male spunk? I really want to run this strain but don't wana fuck my cherry pie,purp caddy,and fire og strains... I mean a cross of anyone of those sunds good I just don't have any extrs room. The wife would absoluty murder me with a frying pan if I took anlther nook up in the house...

Any insite would help I've looked around but not brain surgery looked for tips but I'm still lost throw them out or run them like real grower?....

Ps I've poped 5 and have them in 50\50 cana and ffof solo 3.5oz cups and 5 more just got soaked today( oh yeh and I soaked the first five yesterday about this time and had .25 in taps commin outa 3 of the 5 I soaked yesterday... dose that mean anything at all?.....

Help a guy out I've only done clones b4 never messed with the whole process....

just keep an eye on them... you should notice male junk on the plant before it poses any real risk to your crop if they do go Herm.


thats a lot of seed in one eight for it to be a Herm pollination... likely it was pollinated with a male... now your question is, what strain was the male that pollinated the bud.

U know I agree with u on that I just had to cut the nuts off of the second batch of the perpetual thing I'm tryin out now the other day and I gota say this strain is absoulty f-ing awsome I'm startn to feel like I know at least a lil something about gardining now... but its offical they are inbetween 1.5 and 2 inches above the soil now super perkey now its time to wait and see wich one or two ima keep andflip to see if they are girls or not... keep ur fingers crossed for me.. ill add few pix tonite of them and keep this one goin for anyones that watchin...

. And then there is this lil runt she (hopefully) poped the same day and breached the soil mix the same day just isn't reaching for the fuckin moon like the others is either one a good sign to look for?

i understand hermies well. i can also get killer smoke with out herms and possible seeds. i toss em outside. if i see balls out they go . strains that throw nanners at end of flowering are common and stay put generally.

Ok so with seed u want it closer with my cuts I just keep a 40 cfl about 2 feet away and they go rite to work but hey if I gota raise th base and lower the light by god that's what ill do... I like free fixes...

In the shead now brother gota water the big girls headin to the cabin to tear out a deck and what not so they will be on their own for two or 3 days they to the babies got few good ideas already on how ima do it how far should they be? Like a foot or rite on top of them

I was told as close to the bulb as you can go without so close that the heat from the lights burns the leaves. Maybe hold your hand under the light to get a sense of the heat factor and move closer accordingly?

But they will be alone for few days won't that dry the l8I'll cups out a lot faster? And I have a lil burpi self watering deal for my actual garden of vegies is that the same thing as the blu mats I've been hearing about? Do I judt punch bigger holes in the bottoms of the lil plastic cups so it can get the water? I would research a lil more on my own but I'm goin outa town in few hours and still gota figure outhow to raise the tray and lower lights safely... I kinda want a pad to come back home to lol...thanx for any tips headin in to start that project...

Hey Joe. I hope you get something good from those seeds.

I'd put some supports on those plants to keep them from drooping over while watering. 12 gauge electrical wire works good until they get established.

When I see them growing like that, I pot them up to tall 1 gallon pots and bury most of the main stem, but that's me.

Shouldn't I go ahead and use a standard black 16oz beer cup and plant it deep to shorten the stalk and slow the leaf growth untill that stem starts to sprout roots and then start up potting to larger pots? I've always been told that the more tranzplants the better?
I'm not totaly sure about any valitity of said method just kinda the way I've started doing things... make the strive for more room, make them work for it don't just give it to them that's damn near the exact words from a dude at the hydro shop...he sounds like he knows what he's doing but never seen a pic nor know him like that to have seen his work for myself...

But yes I was gona use tooth picks in the soil mix and the plugs to prop them up and hope for the best

I gotta give you props for them stretching that much WITH OUT falling over! that is a feat in itself! but yes it is because your lights are too far. I use T8 32w tubes and get them less than 1" away with a fan flowing on them. I've have had seedlings grow right up to the bulb and wrap their leaves around it without getting burnt, but a CFL is a different story. 4"-6" or so would probably be better for that. I wouldn't transplant to 16oz beer cups now (what size are thos) just bury the stem whe nyou go up to 1 gal. or whatever size. I start in 16oz beer cups, a clear one to plant in and check root development, then I put it inside a taped up red one to block light from getting to the roots.

I ended up using a 4 gallon bucket to raise the base so to speak to bring it up to the light. Now id say the cfl its self is about 9 inches away its about 2 inches from the top of a 7 inch mondi dome gona go in and check on them b4 we take off and give them a lil soaking... let's keep our fingers crossed they don't dry out b4 I get back home... if they do I always have more beans... I did get them for free after all...

Oh yeh and kt those are lil 3.5 oz solo dixi cup size cups... lol seen them and thought they would b perfect for popin beans....
