Snowryder - opinions and advice sought

I'm in planning stages for my first grow, which would be a small autoflower grow in my back garden. I was initially leaning towards lowryder x AK47 until I learned that the odor is extremely strong and pungent. In another thread, some folks recommended Snowryder as a strain which is much less strong smelling.

There are not many threads referencing this strain so I though I'd start one to try to get a better understanding of this strains from people who have actually grown and smoked this strain. Any information would be most appreciated, especially in terms of ease of growth, average plant height, average outdoor yield, and some comments about taste and potency.

I'm only planning on growing for my own personal stash and my consumption is pretty low. I'd be happy with 1/2 oz+ yield per plant, dried and cured. Suggestions for other auto strains would also be very welcome, but one thing I really want to do is keep the plant height below 2-3 foot and odor at reasonably low levels, where the smell would not be very obtrusive from 20' or so feet away. I only would have a couple females on the go at any given time.

low odour but a fairly "lanky" plant with a solid cola nugget and other popcorn buds. medium potency and pretty easy to grow. i used to get around 10g's indoors but obv outdoors in the right conditions i expect ud get more

Thanks for the feedback. Do you have any alternate strains that you recommend? Perhaps something with moderate odor, something that would be sort of middle of the road, smell-wise.

The Snowryders had the least odor of the 8 different auto strains I grew last year. The high was more sativa but not as potent as others. They got about 15" high and yielded about 1/2 ounce per plant. I much prefer White Russian and Blue Himalayan x Diesel. The odor on the White Russian wasn't too bad. The BHxD was a little stronger but didn't have an overpowering diesel odor, instead smelling more like blueberry. They both got around the same height and yield.

I got some F2's of snowryder on the go right now, pics in my albumb, i'll actually do a photo update tonight i think. Since they are budding very nicely right now.

I did an open pollenation, working through the seeds of the keeper pheno. The high was very sati, alot of the phenos lacked stay power in the high. I had one that had some "legs" to the high... hence the keeper. They look very indi in the beginning with a sati lanky kind of finish.

This pheno i am working, and lot of the progeny look like other LR2 grows i've seen around.. makes me suspicous. However. Good resin production, i had alot of phenos that smelled almost mango/berry/fruity. One pheno smelled just like pines.

Very tasty buds.. The same morning i tested it on some fellow "heads" we smoked some OGkush he just got, after that we chased it with some snowryder #3.. Even after the OG the SR#3 still cut through the high. One fellow even stated this stuff is crazy.. I don't think it's that crazy but it was a nice pheno for sure.

My F2's are allready bigger than the last ones from the breeder. They smell better now, and are more resenous at the same age. I'd recomend them... I got the regs though not fems.

Bh.

Many thanks for the advice. I think my best bet is to order a couple different strains and see which one works best for me. During my first run of each strain, I plan to make a seed run to work from.

Another questions, which of these a/f strains run reasonably consistent, stable and true to form. I don't plan any of my own crosses, as I'm not a breeder and don't know what I'm doing.

Ordering several strains is probably a good idea. Since you are going to grow outdoors I'd recommend Mi5, Onyx, White Russian, Blue Himilayan x Diesel or Snowryder. I didn't have a lot of luck with Hindu Kush and Pakistani Ryder. Good smoke but the plants only got 8-10" high and produced about 1/4 ounce. AK47 x Blueberry grew nice but I was dissappointed with the smoke. Diesel Ryder grew nice and was consistent but smells a lot.

Autos, still being fairly new, still aren't fully stabilized. I've seen basically two types of phenos, straight, shorter plants, sort of like a bud on a stick, and bigger, brancher ones. Of everything I've grown, the Mi5 and White Russian were the most consistent.
