I've been searching the forums for other people growing Snow Dog, but I can't seem to find anyone.

I was gifted some snow dog clones this past summer, and the bud is the best I have ever smoked. It's very skunky, and the high and taste are incredible. It smells great while you inadvertently inhale through your nose also.

The clones are easy to take, and grow very well without much supervision. Trimming is a breeze too.

I'm interested in the lineage of the strain, and where I might find seeds of the original or if I can at all.

SnowDog = Snow x Mass Superskunk x Bubblechem - clone only . From my hometown . Though Reservoir seeds has made some crosses with the clone .

Oh, wow. Well I'm glad I'm keeping plenty of clones! There's a few of us in my home town growing it too, so it should live on. It's insane how clones spread...

You say it's from your home town, and I notice one of the strains is called Mass Superskunk. I'm assuming that's massachusetts? If so, maybe the clones haven't actually traveled very far at all.

I found a pic of mass superskunk from another forum, and it indeed looks very much like my snow dog. God, I love the internet!

You can get the lineage from the Res forum. and I beleive that it is what was stated above. The strain originated wit Chemdog the breeder so it should be fire along the lines as his other clones. I got some of the Snowdog Bx seeds from a generous breeder who has worked with these in the past. Should be able to find some killer ladies. Here is what Rez says about the cross in his forum:

• 'chemdog' and friends made several crosses that are held closely by a small group of friends and acquaintances. Among them are:

1. Super Snowdawg (Bubble Chem x [Super skunk x Oregon Sno])
2. Giesel (Chem D x Mass Super Skunk)
3. Bubble Chem (Chemdawg’s Sister x Sag's Bubbleberry)
4. Dawg Daze aka ChemHaze (Chem D x ’93 Sensi's NL#5/Haze)
5. Chemdawg D x Pbud (another old-school Colorado strain)

the money in la and orange county took all the best multi-generation growers wares from vancouver, humbolt and pnw and said night night.

at least that's how i imagine it, as an outsider.

the east has some good grass, but the west is better. better than europe. better than anywhere.

as for the East/West argument... STFU with that noise already. good genetics are all over the country and skill/knowledge is found all over the country. I guess another common thing would be hubris. West Coast has more quantity, East Coast has quality but in very small amounts and in tight circles. NYC and Mass have some absolute flame

Can anyone confirm or deny this as snow dog ? That's what it was gifted to me as.

It was really greasy and tastes of pine,mint,earth, and coffee.

I have since lost clones of this particular plant do to a soil infestation.
However when I first started growing I had some bagseed of it and some bagseed of a Casey Jones that absolutely reeked in a big basement even when triple bagged.
They both threw pollen and I got seeds out of each, This happened to me at least twice.
I'm not sure if it was genes or my shitty know nothing growing techniques at the time.
I figured I would save the seeds and hope to learn about how genes work to see if I have anything viable.
3 yrs later and I still don't know shit about genes.

I guess I'm hoping for a happy accident much like the GG#4 As they were both killer smoke. At least to me.

Sorry for the shitty pics, I have since gotten a new camera and hope to learn to use it and put it to good use with all the info I learn here ...
