Snootch's Mystery Grow - 25days flower!

Hi all, happy to be back growing again after about a 2 year break. This go I have 3 plants, all at around 25 days flower. They came from a bunch of seeds that got mixed up, including BOG's bogglegum and lifesaver, OldPink's KaliMist, Perseus' Nova Star and Hindu Kush, and Nirvana's White Rhino, AK48, Jock Horror, and Blue Mystic. So these 3 beauties could be any of those. They were grown in soil, under about 150 watts of flourescents for veg, and are under a 250hps for flower. I experimented with some tieing down methods, which so far seems to have worked very well, as all 3 have a ton of budsites and numerous colas.

On to the pics:

Heres Plant 1. Very indica, broad, waxy leaves. Pungent smell, similar to the bogglegum i grew before.





Heres Plant 2, which seems to be a good mix of sativa and indica. Tons of branching and trichome covered buds on this one. The odor is rather pungent but I can't quite place it yet.







And heres Plant 3. Definately the most sativa of the bunch, and was the slowest to flower but has taken off recently. The buds have a very light, almost fruity scent to them.

Well i'll be back over the next month with updates on these beauties, I'm very much looking forward to figuring out which plant is which strain once everything is all said and done.

Welcome back to growin Snootch. Whatever those plants turn out to be I'm sure you won't be dissapointed, thats a nice bunch. Do you have any hunches as to what they are?

As for guessing which plants they are, of all the seeds I have ive only grown out Bogglegum and Lifesaver. Plant 1 (the very indica one) reminds me of the bogglegum stout pheno. Plant 2 (the sativa/indica mix) also reminds me of bogglegum, its smell, thus far, is very similar to the bogglegum i grew out. Plant 3 is a big mystery to me, it has very sativa leaves, but smells similar to lifesaver.

Its still way too early to tell, and I imagine it still being pretty tough to figure out which is which even when they are all finished up, dried, and cured.

But I'll tell you one things, when the time comes, I am going to have a helluva time trying to figure out which one is which!

yah, all 3 should definately be primo smoke. I wouldnt be surprised if 2 were BOG plants, and the other one was Kali, AK, or White Rhino. At first I was really thinking that the 2 more indica plants had to be lifesaver or bogglegum, and that the sativa (plant 3) would be kali mist or ak47, but it is by far the most fruity smelling of the 3. It doesnt have that dank marijuana smell, just a real nice heavy grape smell. The very indica (plant1) one has a skunk smell to it, and when you put your nose close to the buds theres a very lemony scent to it as well. and the other indica/sativa one (plant 2) has a skunk/spicy smell. From the way things are going Plants 1+2 should be done within the next 2-3 weeks me thinks (the indica one could even be done within the next week and a half), and the sativa one should be done in like 3-4 weeks. I'm a big believer in not picking a bud until its ready though, so whether its 1 week, or 4 weeks, these babys wont be picked until their trichomes are all cloudy. I'l take some better pics on monday outside of the hps to really show how much they are fattenin up.

Ok, heres a day 40 update.

First we got up Plant 1, the very indica plant. This one should be done within the next 2 weeks. She's the smallest of the 3, but shes probably got the most trichome coverage. Not much of a smell to her, so I'm thinking she could be the NL pheno of bogglegum.

Heres Plant 2, the more sativa/indica mix then the other 2. She could very well be my best yielder of the 3.

Annnnd heres Plant 3, the most sativaish one. She is smelling sooooooooooooooooooooooo good. She smells veeeeeeeery fruity, and is branching out like a mofo. She should yield a good amount too.

Its definately getting close to harvest time. Plant 1 should be chopped within the next 10 days i think, and Plant 2 shouldnt be too far behind her. Plant 3 should be done in no more than 3 weeks tho, she could surprise me and get done a whole lot quicker though, especially if shes a Lifesaver gal (which I think she is)

I broke one of my main rules and test smoked a couple of lower buds. After reading several posts supporting periodically test picking towards the end of flower to get a taste of how you like your high per each strain. The trichomes were around 60% cloudy on Plant1 (the indica one). So I picked a few buds and placed em on top of my computer monitor overnight. In the morning they were completely dry. The smoke and taste of course weren't of top quality, but the potency is definately there. My head feels like an over filled water balloon and waves of fuzziness are rolling down my shoulders and arms as I type this. Its also a very happy high, and failry clear headed (surely due to the early picking). As to guessing which strain Plant1 is, I'm gonna have to say either a NL#5 Pheno of Bogglegum, or NovaStar (Skunk#1xSensi Star). The bud smells very piney and lemony. I think im gonna let it go a couple days, cut a couple colas, and let the rest of the plant go another week.

I'll post some better pics in the morning, as these ones came out way too out of focus. Anyone have any advice on taking close up macro shots. And sorry if it seems like I'm talking to myself in this thread, as I made it almost purely as a log of my grow.

Ok...heres an update on the beauties. Ive harvested plant 1. Harvested the colas on plant 2, and I'm letting plant 3 go another week or so.



The first pics are of Plant 3 (the sativa one). Id say 75% trichs are cloudy, 20% are amber, and 5% clear. Shes pretty fluffy, and id like to see her pack on some more trichomes, so Im gonna give her another week or so. Shes gotta be Lifesaver though, smells just like it. Ive read about 2 sativa phenos of lifesaver, one is supposed to be one of the best phenos you can get, and the other isnt supposed to be very good. I wonder which one I got?







and heres some pics of the drying buds from plant 1. Very pine-sol scent to her. Very nice high on this gal. Good mix of a head high and body high. You really feel the body high in your neck and shoulders when u smoke her.

Heres pics of Plant2. Shes gotta strange smell to her, kind of fruity but kind of pine-sol smell at the same time. Im guessing shes a bogglegum bitch. I just harvested the top colas of this girl (30% amber trichs, rest all cloudy). Im gonna let the bottom half of the plant go for another week or so.

First pics are of some buds ive got hanging in my drying closet. The pics after that are of some colas I semi-quick dried and that are getting ready for a final trim and will be put in curing jars to bring some of their flavor back.
