tnx s a h I’m glad to be here, especially if i can meet old friends.
Ive seen that a few old members are here and i decided this is the place for me.

i still have 10 more snl seeds and 7 more ls seeds and i don't want to risk them outdoors,in a few months ill be able to get a place of my own.

just came back from a visit, all is o.k,1 plant is doing fine and Ive planted another one in the same pot.

the water collar is performing like i expected,it still had some water after 6 days, top soil was still moist, next time ill visit after 9 days or so.

maybe if ill add some water crystals ill b able to stay a way from them for a few more days.

i just hope that root structure wont be inhibited by the constant moisture,it hasn't been the case with my tropf bluemats(supplies constant moisture)

hi there bromhexine,hb sure was a nice site.

and here's a small update:
the mini water collar works just fine,my plant is unfortunately a male.

average temps are about 30c(first heat wave 37c was yesterday) and i could water the plant every 9 days or so at this early stage.(more if ill add some polymers or expand the "res")

plant is healthy(kinda small 6" or so)and show no signs of under\over watering, ill try to get some pics next week when ill end his life and keep the pollen.

the seed that i precracked and planted in the "system" did not germ,
i should really start them indoors.

whats your method of storing the pollen? i hear that starting the plants in big beer cups indoors until sex is shown works best for outdoor transplanting.

usually i start my seeds in tiny d.i.y coco\peat starter plugs till day 6 or so and i'm gradually exposing them to the sun in that period, then transplanting it outdoors.(just started another snl seeds)

the best way will definitely be the "bigger the better" approach,to prevent unnecessary stress.

i'm gonna keep whole pollen sacks(after drying it for a few days)in small glass jar that contains those tiny silica gel baggy's,and ill store the jar in a cool dark dry place.

hi all,i pulled the male plant that i had in the mini water collar:

the plant was about 10"(autoflower)five weeks old, four weeks watering with the collar.

i took apart the root system and i noticed that the root system was small but the plant looks healthy,my assessment is that the soil has been kept too moist in my case(too many pin holes)next time ill try 4 holes in each pop bottle, however its kinda strange cos i haven't seen any signs for overwatering.

i did planted another snl seed today in the same old system,i added some water polymers this time and ill water less often this time, once every 10 days or so.(av temps midday around 35c)
next time ill add some pics(i don't have my camera).
