Smoke Buddy
Hello again from NorCal. I want to see if I can finish a grow thread this year! We shall see. I dig all you guys grows posted here and so I want to contribute too.
Here's whats been going on. I started with last years used VermiFire soil that I supplemented in January with some kelp meal, bone meal, blood meal, worm castings and assorted leftovers like some coco, a half a brik of sunshine4 etc, Then when I filled the 30 gallon smarties I added about 2.5 cups of EB Stone Organic veggie garden fert each.
My goal is as little work as possible for a quality product. I know damn well work is a requirement and it's a labor of love for me just need more time. That's because I'm gone 4 days in a row for 12-14 hours for work. I water before I go in the morning. I manage to water with AACT 2-3 times a week which I brew 5 gallons and each plant gets 1/2+ gallon which gets diluted into 3 gallons RO. Sometimes I mix in fish hydrolysate, liquid kelp and ProTek before I apply the tea. On the days with no tea they get straight RO water. The plants seem to like this so far. I am beginning to lose quite a few leaves, older fans. I see signs of thrips on all the plants. Not bad, yet. I looked with a magnifier and positive ID'd a couple. I know the caterpillars will be here or are already. I have a huge tomato garden and I have only seen 2 horn worms so far. I will be spraying both gardens with spinasad tonight at dusk. Slam them biotches outa heeya.
The plants have stretched the last couple weeks and have the beginning of clusters starting. I plan to add liquid kelp, guano, humic acid and protek to the diluted tea as a basic flower food. Any advice is welcome. I have been growing for many years but never got too technical. I have screwed up bigtime before but I think I'm pretty safe with the organic approach.
Garden girls are:
2 Chemdog D X Galadriel These were from when Gala hermied in my indoor grow, what a silver lining, the seeds make awesome plants all female of course.
1 5K OG Kush(really!) X SD-IBL I made these seeds by hitting the clone with 2006 Rez pollen.
3 SR71PK X Bubbashine. I think the seeds are around 10 years old. Someone around here knows. These were made by Zoolander. My buddy grew just 1 female and it was awesome that was several years ago. I was surprised I got 4 of 4 to pop and 3 were girls.
So without further bla bla, here they are. Left to Right 2-CDXGal 1-5KOGXSDIBL 3-SR71XBS
