smart pots in lower humidity

hi, quick question, hopefully someone can chime in..

my humidity tends to be on the lower 35/40% when I have small plants in the flower room. it increases over a couple of weeks to where it should be.. I want to try smart pots for a change and was wondering if my humidity may be too low since the water must evaporate from the outside walls of the smarts as well as the top.. anyone have any thoughts on this??

Would probably cause you to water slightly more often, while also helping to raise the humidity just a tad bit.

I wouldn't think it would really make much of a difference though, If you are doing ok with regular pots, you should be fine, possibly better with the smart pots.. or those fabric re-usable grocery bags at the store that only cost 50 cents to a dollar (wink wink) instead of like 5+ dollar smart pots. The only reason I got smart pots once is because the smart pot dude's daughter was lookin' real cute when they came to visit my buddies hydro shop on customer appreciation day and they were free lol, didn't have the heart to tell her that grocery bags work just as good.

Pay attention to salt build up if you're running a dry room. You shouldn't have a problem, it's just a little bit more important that you check your run off water (more for coco than soil, but either way ).
Also, get a humidifier at the Goodwill. Consult a VPD chart

If it's too dry the stomata will close up slowing gas exchange which prevents the plant from cooling itself, pull nutes up from the roots, and get co2 for photosynthesis.

Lol yes I understand I've been at this many years. ..it was just the initial week. At about a week in flower the humid generally corrects itself due to the volume of plant matter but was just checking. Maybe over thinking things. Thank you for the replies.

I imagine if you sprayed clean water on the outside of the pots the humidity would go up.

Until you get a more permanent solution that is.
