Smart IC Cobs. Any experience with these?

Wondering around on AliExpress I am noticing a good number of Smart IC Cobs that have the circuitry for driving the cob. No driver is needed. Has anyone fooled around with any of these and if so what kind of results did you have. It is an intriguing idea as it would drastically cut down on the complexity of the build and allow for many lower powered cobs spread throughout the grow. The prices on these are VERY attractive. Any help or thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

I bet you still need to run them with a DC supply, so the cost won't be a game changer.

I am thinking that if they have anywhere near acceptable performance they might work well as supplemental and side lighting. Already ordered one and will probably break down and order several on 11.11. I will keep you informed of what comes of it in about 45 days... That's the downside of ordering off shore. Unfortunately I don't have the tools to check the light spectrum but can certainly look at the load.

I got a lot of left over CPU Heatsinks left over from the pile of computers I have run through over the years. Might be a pretty good way to put them to work.
