Small sealed room in an apt. and swamp cooler question?

I have been reading some threads about growing in apartments and the unique security concerns that go with doing this. I have also looked into the idea of making a sealed room, as this would be advantageous for apartment growers because in and out vents can be a problem.

The concept is to use a swamp cooler with a good dehumidifier to keep humidity low and allow the swamp cooler to cool effectively.

The room that will be used is a small bedroom apartment with a 1000w light.

A CO2 tank and regulator will be used as well.

Will also add a good carbon air filter of course.

My question is for anyone that has experience with swamp coolers, would they work in this way to keep a small bedroom with a 1000w light at around 75 degrees? Remember there is no in and out vents!!! I have a good dehumidifier already and swamp coolers are only around $100. So could this work?

Lots of stress for one dehumidifer, but "could" work. Read up on industrial heating/cooling, food/plastic industry does a lot of this kinda' stuff. Ducting through a dehumidifer, split swamp coolers, other ways of displacing the humidity. hint hint...

I wouldn't do a sealed room. I have no idea how you could get away with no intake or exhaust. I was looking at those swamp coolers awhile back. They seem like an ok Idea for other applications but for growers I think small portable a/c would work the best. I'm sorry I don't have much to add to your thread. But I am an apartment grower myself and I was interested in your thread. Good Luck buddy.

No a sealed room is possible but as I research it probably is not plausible in an apartment setting for a number of reasons particularly the cooling of the room. I have also looked into commercial chillers that are air conditioners with no in or out vents. They are used to chill things like computer servers and other industrial applications. But they are heavy, very expensive and pretty hard to come by. And they are such energy hogs too the smallest unit I found takes up an entire 15 amp circuit by itself!

Which comes to my idea of using a couple of swamp coolers with a dehumidifier and then all the lights and fans I would be really pushing a 15 amp circuit in an apartment too even if it works to cool the room enough.

I am now looking into split air conditioners that have a small copper water pipe running outside to a fan that cools this way. This could offer a sealed room capability but of course it would have to be a private rented house apartment setting and not a big complex like I am in now.

You're not going to be able to handle the humidity from a swamp cooler with just a consumer dehumidifier. The mini-split AC would be a much smarter choice IMO and can be installed in apartments relatively easily as long as you can power them adequately.
