small runt plant

i got two seeds from a friend.
one is awesome.the plants growing like crazy.
the other just wont grow.its about 12 to 14 inches tall and has been in veg for over a month.plant # 1 is already vin flower and looks great.the leaves on the lil bitch are tiny and crinkly looking.what could i do to make her fill up.
i dont think plants like hps when they are in veg.

Sometimes you just get defective plants. Sometimes they amount to something and sometimes they don't.

Are the plants growing under identical conditions, i.e., soil, lighting, watering, etc.?

I doubt the hps has anything to do with it, unless you're putting it too close to the plant.

What other info on the grow can you give us. How often are you watering them? What size conttainers are they in? How far from the light is the plant? Are you giving them nutes? Is the growth onit green and lush or have troubles?


I have never had anytrouble vegging under a HPS. Just keep the plant away from the light the first 2 weeks or soafter sprouting then lower it as close as you can without burning it.

Well I would not throw it away cause sometimes the little runts sometimes are the best or if the other is a male the runt will come through. Its really up to you i dont like having to kill anything before it is sexed then if it is a male i dont feel as bad.

I agree with that, medicaluser420. I never give up on a plant until I either know it's a male or in the really tragic cases when I run out of room. Then you gotta make some tough choices.

most times - and yess there are notable exceptions,,,, Males grow taller, sooner.

AND,,, None of my top shelf plants were ever champion yeilders.
