Small grow space 315cmh could it work

I have been looking at my attic
For growing. Only thing is its only 4ft tall &
I was thinking of making the grow space 4ft wide
2.5ft deep & 4ft high using a 315cmh. Painted flat
White. Maybe 2 x plants do you think it could work

For just two plants yeah.

Only problem is that the output on a cmh is a bit wonky and you need to hang them a good 18 ins minimum and thats right at the end earlier on its nearer 2 feet.

They do produce shorter plants because there's so much less far red and infra red in cmh than hps.. you could get two cob leds in the 3k range over them.. 100-120w per plant/cob.. much better spread and penetration, cheaper and longer lifespan and a replacement cob is half the price of a cmh bulb.. thats what i would do..

Hey Lost in Sog i dont think it will work. Because the loft is full of attic insulation that itchy stuff.
And i was going to take fresh air from room below
But if the growroom door not air tight glass fiber and dust could go on buds

Why not just layer some thick 6 mil plastic over the loft to create a barrier for separation?

I run 2 x 315w in a 2.5 x 5' space, but I have 7 ft of vertical height to grow in and I hit 1.1 gpw last cycle.

You can run the CMH bulbs about 11-14" from the tops when in flower. Early veg, is more like 18" but once the plants adjust, you can lower the light without issue.

I think your biggest issue, is going to be heat put off from the lamp in such a small space.

I use Grower's Choice and love the lights - but, I'd suggest you consider a unit that has a remote ballast to minimize heat inside your growing area.

Check some of our microgrowers here. They are pulling good flowers in much more refined spaces than you are discussing.

... a sure way to invite mold! 1/4" plywood is a better option. If you're cheap, 1/4" hardboard "tentest" I believe.

Hey Dank Frank i will be running an adjustawing
Hellion 315cmh with remote ballast. I was thinking of buying a new 4ft x 2ft x 5ft tent
For the bedroom

I wouldn't run a single 315 over that space, unless you planned to put in on a light mover.

my tent is 4x3.5ft and i run '2' 315's with phillips bulbs, remote ballast - i've added some cheap led's for side lighting as the '2' cmh's seem to be a bit weak...

If I build the room 4ft wide 2.5ft deep & run a scrog because of the 4.5ft height could this work
Just need to build a space to grow out of the way. Any help is appreciated

Also I have a adjustawing Hellion 315cmh but it runs hot but in veg I keep it 40cm away from seedlings
