How well does a soil mix that is water and a few teas only work in 44oz homemade smart pots? I know that I will have to top feed and use more tea but will the benies survive that small of space? I've looked and cannot seem to find anybody doing this with "water" only soil.

Dr. Bud Greengenes grew in 20 oz soda bottles cut down to about 16 oz, and revegged them 2-5 times. I think you're fine in 44 oz if everything else is in order.

But the doc feeds with nutes from a bottle I'm talking every watering using just water or possibly a aact once in a blue moon. Just seems nobody does that in containers less than 1gal. Wondering if the soil life would have enough food and room to survive and make nice big clean colas.

Your pot size will double the Doc's. Then if you are going to top feed and use tea you should be good to go.

I have grown in gallon pots. With good soil they went start to finish with no added ferts.
