SM-90 causing gunk build-up in rez

AOD2012

I have the key, now i need to find the lock..

Yea, so the title basically says it all. I run a coco DTW, and manually feed my plants once a day. I use sm-90 at the rate of 5ml/gal. I always seem to get build up on the pump recirculating the solution, and also little chunks of stuff floating around, which basically resembles a loogy or something.

Just wanted to know if anyone else experiences this. Thanks.

i get that from using azaneem(canadian version of azamax)....i gotta scrub the rez like crazy to get rid of it after, but to be fair mine looks more like soap scum....

Doesnt really stick to much to the rez actually, and if it does, comes off with the hose. Thanks for the input homey.

i get nothing like this. i feel like sm90 helps clean my rez in fact.

I add it into the rez before I add anything else, and just let the pump mix everything up.

Weird.

maybe try shaking it up in a water bottle with some water to help break it down before dumping into the res.

it almost sounds like it is reacting with something else in your rez and causing it solidify...i dont know though...sm90 is a surfactant so it just doesnt make sense how its clumping....

i've seen this effect in Recirculating Hydro more than once --- a day or two after adding SM-90.

I have a feeling it feeds Bacterial Slime ! It always shows up after SM-90, can't believe it has done the opposite as what it's supposed to do in my experience.
