Slow grow, root problems?

Hello everybody!

I've grown before and had some pretty good grows before. I had to take a 5 years break from growing, and now that i have everything ready again things are not doing well.

So the thing is, about 2 months back i moved and bought an 1x1 grow tent and a 300w led panel. I have only grown with hps before this time. I sprouted the seeds with 100% germination rate, but my city is reeally humid and i had over water problems, the roots was really brown and small.

I chopped everyting and bought what was missing, phmeter and dehumidifier.

So, im growing on a 1x1 grow with 300 panel led and dehumidifier, the humidity is still high, around 60% to 80% and is summer now, so im able to keep the temperatures aroun 25 to 30.
On the first 2 weeks i gave only water with ph 6.5, and then i started using half dosage or quarter dosage of biobizz grow and heaven.
My soil is coco, perlite, vermiculite, humus and soil from a grow shop.
Im pretty shure im not over watering, but still, my plants are around 30 days old and are really small, they are growing, just really slow and small.
Thats why i think is something in the roots, or mybe the water? I water with rested city water, to let the chloro evaporate

It seems like im missing something that im not seeing, they look a little hungry but it seems like they are not uptaking the nutrients right.

Thanks!

Try a bit of calcium nitrate to the soil and spray foliarly with some N and P.

Do you have a ppm and meter? Can you measure the runoff?

Thanks for the input everybody!

Ok, so i got my plants a lot closer to the light, and feed them some biogrow, bioheaven, and some foliar kelp and mg, they got a darker color, but i fell that they are not uptaking the nutrients right because of slow root grow, im pretty shure if i took them out the roots would be tiny and brow.
Now, i dont know why is this happening. They still grow, but slow. I never used coco before, im getting afraid of it, and it was thinking about the next time it dry to transplant them into soil and perlite, it would shock them a bit but in the long run wouldnt it be better?
Next time i will do dirt and act like i used to. But i need to get those to work cause i dont want to lose those genetics, i actually only need those to produce me some nice clones, but the are defenitly not showing lateral growth.

I was thinking about starting a threat here, maybe tonight i'll do it

Ok, so they seem to be better, but still slow growth.

Yestarday i was listening to the cuban grower live feed and there was two things that he said that i was thinking about trying.

Fist he says that with coco he water everyday , this way the oxigen keep fresh everyday and he gets better results.

Now, i have been watering with ph 6.5, treating like if it was soil because i have humus and dark soil in it, but is mostly coco. So what im doing is i separeted 4 plants, 2 of them i started to water everyday since yestarday, with ph 6.5'and the other two im watering everyday with the ph 6.2 and 6.0 to see if something happens.
The two that i watered since yestarday with ph 6.5 seems to like it a lot, and even in one day it looks more agressive in the growth

Also my temp started to go up and it seems they liked to... My humidity is really high, maybe it got closer to the vpd, i going to have to buy an humidity and temp meter and try to follow vpd since i live at a hot humid place.

Thanks!

I got busy but will start a journal by the weekend

What you guys think?

Use smaller pots next time until they're big enough to transplant. You only need to water daily in flower when theyre big enough to need it. Check pH of your runoff to get an idea where yer @

Thanks for the input!

What else can i do to take better care of the roots?? So get the water back to 3 to 5 days?

I checked my ph today, it came out 6.3 watering at 6.6

I water every one of my plants individually until flowering and then set up a drip system and hit them daily. When the pot is light, dryish, before they show signs of drooping, thats when I water. It can take days yeah. Buy yourself some sm90 it will help you with your root zone issues until you get a better grasp of the rhythm.

Other thing is that my stems are so small and skinny, they are not getting woody, they are really strong, if you bend them they will almost snap.

My soil is coco, perlite, vermiculite, humus and soil from a grow shop.

you already mixed coco with dirt.. thats the problem, you should keep coco constant wet, not like soil. keeping the coco wet-dry periods, salts will more easily build up causing def symptoms..

Ok, so i use to do soil and i guess i like it better, i dont want to go the hidro route, to humid around here, and i really like the while soil thing, plus i can do some guerrillas with the extra ones.

My question is, how do i get out of the coco?
I will do a soil recipe with a good soil, humus and perlite plus some cal, bone meal and some other stuff, its a recipe that i have used before.
Should i just wait for them to grow in this coco with ph 6.5 an them just transplant to the soil? Or there is a better technique?
