Slow burning from tips inward...

First off I would like to say Hello to everyone here at ICM. I have researched this problem in many books, but have yet to find a solution.

Strain - Bubbleberry
Age – Pre-flowering 2nd month from clone (extended veg)
Temps- 65/70
Humidity – 55%
Medium – 3 parts soil 1part perlite 1 part vermiculite 1 part peat
Water – Distilled 10 ppm
Watering frequency – Inspect for dryness usually every 3rd day. Nutrients once every week
Nutes -900-1000 ppm
Additives – Revive, Karma (Grow catalyst).
PH – 6.5-6.9
Watts – 400w MH Lucalox
Light schedule - 24
Air - circulating fans 24/7
Co2- 1000-1500 ppm

Suspected an over nutrient problem and transplanted to said soil (above) from a standard straight soil mix. Post transplant, plant was watered with distilled water only for one week, then applied a diluted nutrient mix at about 400 ppm. After seeing no difference in plants symptoms, It is suspect that the plant experienced lock-up, and refused to intake the new nutrients after the transplant. The guess is that it is slowly getting better and that it may need a stronger nutrient mix now that it has hopefully stabilized and will now begin reuptaking nutrients. What do you think? The picture shows the clone in soil and its sister much more healthy clone in a hydro bubble-stone pot. Remember they are the same plant, in the same grow atmosphere, the only difference is the medium in which they are grown.

what type of soil?

Your feeding soil that may not need to be fed anything but water... possibly just your additives if even that as they have some ferts in em.

Were those few leaves that are now at the mid to top of the plant damaged to to lock out early on when they were low on the plant, then risen as the plant grew? They look like lock out but I would expect to see em low.

To the first question, at the moment, I am not sure the specific name of the (soil, i will find out tomorow) but there is another plant that is not shown in the picture, an original haze clone, it is being grown out of the exact same soil and nutrient regimen and it is showing no signs of any health problems.

To the second question, yes, it occured exactly as you spoke.

ok so since the lock out occured early on, we will rule it out and assume the tip burn is new... and since another plant of a diff strain is taking the nutes with out showing the tip burn it slightly enforces the assumption that it is over fert.... as diff plants generally dont like the same diet.... and 900-1k is a fairly strong feed all upon its own.. not even figuring in the additives #s

So my suggestion would be to feed it water and your additives until it tells you it needs something

It would still help to know the name of your soil and its NPK and any trace elems.

And just for giggles.. can ya give us a soil or run off ph reading?

Few thoughts...Try 18/6 instead of 24/0 when using hid. When watering, ensure that you get 20% of your fert water as runoff. This will ensure no excess salt buildup. Ph is a little high even if this is a soil grow. (I bet the soil is really soilless) Temps below 68 f will cause deficiencies and problems. Raise temps to the 70's or even low 80's.

Checked runoff at a ph of 6.8, soil ph indicator gave same reading. Light is now a HPS on 12/12. In the last week the plant has grown at least 8 inches, all new growth seems healthy.

The package for the soil no longer is around, but the nutrients were merely trace .001% nitrogen, and similiarly with potassium and phosphorous, however without the packaging I have a feeling the percent of nutrients could be up to .004% for either P or K.

well I would still stick with my suggestion of just feeding ph'd water and the additives until the plant says it needs you to add nutes(leaves will give it away fast)... they are not real large plants and they look to be in good sized pots, so I think just water and your additives(LK and such) will do you fine for a while)
